We were SO antsy waiting for EchoSmith to perform their song "Cool Kids" once they did....LIFE WAS PERFECT. Check out their album "Talking Dreams" on iTunes! itunes.apple.com/ca/album/tal... nextstar.ytv.com / echosmith
I like their style because it reminds me of alot of the British incasion bands of the late 60's and early 70's like The Kinks,The Moody Blues and Yes. They have that swag that all ages can relate
I love this song. I grew up in the 1980s, so this song is not intended for me or my generation, but for some reason the song has such a nice 80s vibe to it.
***** If you look at their influences, they were 80's post punk/new wave and mostly British. The 80's US sound was more like Cindy Lauper, Debbie Gibson, & Michael Jackson. On the sort of "indie" front were bands like Level 42, A Flock of Seagulls, Romantics, Translator, and the like.
***** since I grew up in 80's sound, I would say yeah there's really new wave vibes on it. That's why Im kinda amazed with them, at such young ages, they know are familiar to its feel goid tune.
I'm 54 and a I love this track. What a brilliant new talent (all of them) but it's particularly refreshing to hear a band live and find that the lead singer can really sing and hold a tune. From the UK I' m wishing this band every success.
I'm @lso a 54 year old lady and I've met them in 2017. Love their style and lyrics. So refreshing as you describe them. Hope they ever visit my country. I'll be gladly in for them! Lots of love from Argentina.
This album has been out for a year and a noth abd I just heard this song on the radio like 2 weeks ago. It blew my mind how catchy the melody is and Sydney's voice is just so laid back and refreshing. The message in this tune can be related by alot of people including myself
Im 47yr old from n.z and i love this song.!.simplicity is key to all good music.!.catchy and to the point lyrics.!.thank you ehcosmith.you guys are churr
I can't believe this song from 6 years ago still make me smile while listening to this, this is quite a heavy story song by the way.. haha But seriously this is one of the most dope music I ever have on my Playlists since day one of the release❤️
I love that even though when they are on tour they use a designated keyboardist, in this version she plays the keyboard riff herself. That is a true musician. I think when my cover band does this tune I'm going to ask my vocalist to play it this way. It would save us having to pay a keyboard player his fee. More money for the rest of us. :D
You definitely hit it right on the button. That's exactly why I enjoy this tune SO much. I, myself, was born in 79, so I think of Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Cindy Lauper as well when I listen to this track. It just has a real carefree vibe to it. It also has the potential to be one of those songs that twenty years from now, will still be hot. Who Can't identify with these words. At any and all ages, who didn't want to be a part of the so-called "in" crowd, right? The COOL part, though, is at the end of the day, you DO come to the conclusion that the coolest thing ever is just being yourself. You always want people to respect you for who you really are, not like you for who they see you're trying to be :-). Stay cool, kids! (No matter your age)
"she gonna leave her band because people only cares about vocal now and of course she will do that cause money is powerful" you know what's more powerful than money? LOYALTY and FAMILY
Best vision on RU-vid, especially like the keyboard part. Heard your guys influenced by Fleetwood Mac, I do hope you can be as great as Fleetwood Mac someday.
