I hope you got a reputable firm in to do the carpet clean. Hopefully they vacuumed first. I would suggest they use a good all rounder pretreatment like Enz All with good agitation and plenty of dwell time. And then rinsed using a truckmount with plenty of heat..

oh bother you do know middle of 5th moving in to a Lutheran school I learned was full of folks pulling pranks. So I figured this out fast. Lets see. My sleeping bag on overnighters became a flag outside. I almost got lipsticked. Some nut left the cow fence on . ZAP sledding down the hill (Principal didn't believe me ZAP!!! oh yes indeed it is on) (oh well the sleeping bag was broken and the lipstick is still on it :P 32 yrs later.. Course then I caught on , pulling one on someone I knew still know (mother of 4 now) she was 13 then.. okay fine she's out in the hallway and my head sleeping bag and head are near a rolling chair. Lets see I know she's gonna do it so pull that chair close. have my right arm out. Like duh. yep she pushed I grabbed. Tsk Tsk , oh good luck getting me to let go you were gonna roll a chair over me :P Perfect mouse trap.. We did alot of teasing then.
