One thing that really caught my attention was Kratos' relationship development with his son. If you remember throughout the first game he mostly refers to him as BOY, but you will see throughout this game he mostly uses his name Atreus signifying there growth of their bond.

Fun fact: The first time Kratos struck Thor with his axe that's actually his death sentence because the venom of the giant snake is still on it from when he returned it to him in the first game

When you think of Kratos strength think of superman. He is always holding back and only uses as much as he thinks he needs. Before he killed Boulder Oden didnot realize who Kratos was and as of right now the only thing he really knows is that any god that tries to kill him always die he had to have told Thor to just piss him off not actually try to kill him. Thats why as soon as he is really hit by Kratos he stops the fight.

You have to remember that Thor is half Giant half Aesir. That attributes to his size

Notice how much more Kratos respects his son's ideas. Also, notice Kratos took Thor's tooth when he brought up Atreus. Lastly, the frozen lightning you saw was from Thor and Kratos clashing weapons.

The moment Kratos delivered that punch on Thor's face after being triggered when Thor mentioned Atreus, you can see Kratos in the same posture he had when he was in the old GOW games when wielding his Blades of Chaos. You know the slightly bent over posture. He was also doing his rage shouting from back when in Greece. Thor really triggered Kratos to slightly revert back to his old self.

18:44 T&T remember, in the God of War (2018) when Kratos got his axe back from the World Serpent, there is a notification that pops up on the side saying ‘Eitr embedded,’ when you are continuing with the GoW: Ragnorok reaction notice that when Thor uses his gods powers to heal himself all the wounds go away except from the axe wound that Kratos gave him. Also, a little fact about Norse mythology, yes the World Serpent and Thor actually fight, it is believed that both the World Serpent and Thor actually die in battle. World Serpent is slain by Tho, and after he dies, Thor dies from its poison. Their battle is complete different in this and you’ll find out later.

If this playthrough you're watching doesn't show the side quests and coversations you have to watch those. I'd say they're a crucial part of the story

Not sure if you caught it, but the reason the lightning stayed there was because the frost from the ax froze the lightning from the hammer

Fun little fact Thor’s tooth is actually just sitting on the ground where he threw it, it stays there the whole game and you can come back to this spot and just relish in the fact that you knocked Thor’s tooth out

Idk if yall know, but the entire game, from start to finish, even the transitions from gameplay to cut scenes, is all one shot. From the very beginning with kratos sitting at the fire in the cave to where you guys are at in this video, and then every video beyond that is all the same shot. I personally think it's just incredible and makes the game feel that much more engaging and impressive.

Thor, even in traditional Norse Mythos, is too much of a drinker to poison mead. Also that is a dishonorable way to handle an enemy, even this Thor isn't for dishonorable victories.

Attention, the reason kratos said no to odin's offer was because odin said that he'd keep freya off kratos' back and keep them safe, Obviously kratos doesn't want to have odin kill freya after kratos killed her son so that's why he said no

The axe was created the specifically counter attack mjolnir. When they hit their weapons together it created an ice lightning tree.

The “lightning tree” is actually frozen lightning from mjolnir clashing with the leviathan axe, the axe was built by Brok and Sindhi to be mjolnir’s equal!

I'd say that GoW made Thor pretty accurate to old norse myths, He was huge and he had red hair and beard which shows his nasty temper..

Asking kratos if he’s a calm and reasonable person is such a great taunt on Thor’s part. As we’ve seen he knows who kratos was so asking him that was deliciously sassy lol

Assuming the play through shows some of the side quests later on please remember the “This feels familiar” line from Thor at 21:39 it has to do with ur question about the frozen lightning, one of the best surprises in the game imo

If you look close in the first meeting with Odin every time he got close to Atreus Kratos touch his axe

If you look closely at Atreus' clothing, the garbs around his pants and his belt is the red and yellow kilt Kratos wore in the og god of war games(the little skirt as some would say 😂)

I know this is late, but I wanted to rewatch the whole god of war series again. (Really love you guys channel) the frozen lighting when Thor said “this feels familiar” Kratos wife Faye fought Thor with that axe and Thor said she’s a worthy warrior. Beat the shit out of him. It was a big fight. You can see Faye’s and thors frozen lighting in a different realm I think vanaheim not sure. I hope you guys see this ❤️

Thor was not taking the fight with Kratos seriously, but later on in the game is where the real fight begins, and Thor is my Top 1 Tier best fights

5:58 Man, when Atreus said "It's just a little thunder" I had to think about that for a minute, i was like "If that's a little thunder I'm a little scared of what's following it." plus i like that they recreated the scene when thor showed up to their house with atreus older. And at 8:20 -23:34 Tensions were so high plus when Thor and Kratos just sat down and put their weapons on the table i just followed the motions and was like "Ok i guess were doing this" and i put my controller down throughout that entire conversation my older sister was roasting Odin, but when Odin told Thor "Don't take all day" my sister kept telling to pick up my controller because when thor got up and said " 'bout time" I was like " Boss battle time" Plus 20:51 when Thor said " This is the god that murdered a Pantheon because they hurt his feelings?!" i had a little laugh because he has no idea what it means to have his feelings hurt the way Kratos had his feelings hurt.

Mythology Geek Moment- the reason Odin has one eye. According to legend, Odin gave up one of his eyes as payment to drink from a well of knowledge the giants guarded. Yeah, besides Baldur, we've never seen Kratos meet his match quite like this. Thor is no joke tho either. He's physically probably one of the best matches Kratos has ever had, and he's probably one of the best warriors he's ever faced too. Not to mention his lightening abilities and Mjolnir. The Greek gods were still very powerful, but that was a younger Kratos who had zero patience and held back none of his rage. And he also had a lot of other abilities at the time too that he no longer has. I personally think Kratos was only knocked out and the shock just woke him back up. He's been impaled and stabbed through the chest plenty of times before and his healing factor has brought him back when it would have killed most other people (including gods). I doubt being hit in the head once would put him under. But regardless of that, Kratos got caught slipping and woulda been as good as dead anyways if Thor wanted to end it there after he was knocked out. Either way, this was another great part! Can't wait to continue the journey more with you guys!!!

11:14 the ravens are his mind and his memory..they fly all over the nine realms and gather informations which they then bring back to odin...this shows how much he was afraid of kratos..he first let his crows scout the inside of the house before entering himself.

I just realized, the reason Odin let the Ravens in first with Thor, was probably to scout the place for any traps or relevant information.

The reason Kratos let Thor in was because of a Greek custom (or Spartan, specifically) that has you show the upmost hospitality to a stranger who offers you alcohol due to a suspicion, or fear, that said stranger is Zeus in disguise.

Odin was definitely looking for peace, as powerful as he is he knows damn well what a god of war who could decimate an entire pantheon could do, but he was too manipulative, too dishonest, and Kratos picked right up on that. Also, nice that you guys picked up on the fact that Thor wasn't drinking the mead, and that Odin called him not fun anymore, keep that in your memory as it'll be relevant later
