Hey Teutonius, while it is true that you shouldn't find a girl with aims to become happy, i have to propose you an alternative way of seeing things. The problem i find with this video and your comment is that it speeks of hapiness as if it was a purpose in of itself. The video talks about finding hapiness and stability within through self improvement and then accepting the additionnal hapiness that comes with being in a relationship, not only would this make you more attractive, it would also make you truly happy. A juster way of seeing things is that you shouldn't get in a relationship aiming for hapiness. If you truly want to stay in a long relationship and maybe eventually be happy through satisfaction and meaning in your life, you should seek order in your relationship. What i mean by this is comprehension within you and your partner, the establishements of good principles which includes a constant quest of actualisation where every positive change you make is shared to your partner and vice versa so that no one gets behind. You need to be behind each other's back constantly concerning mistakes that are made and you cannot let anything pass because the accumulation of these mistakes without resolve with ultimately lead to the end of the relationship. You also need to define long term objectives and elaborate strategies to reach them together, and still be ready for change. All of those requires tremendous amounts of efforts, sacrifice, time and will leave you more exhausted and probably unhappier than if you try to satisfy yourself through balancing your own world (example if you don't want to discuss a conflict with your girlfriend at the moment because you don't feel like it now.) With this being said, this love is the only one that is true that will last and that will prevail. This love will give sense to your life and hapiness will knock whenever it will, it is never going to weigh as much. A girl can absolutely be the center of your world, she should be. Just make sure you become at the center of her's and be ready to take the lead. Be content with what you get, not what you give.

I was blessed to be in a local indie/garage rock band when I was 20. We were passionate about what we were doing. The girlfriends came and went, but the band/the guys were always there. This was the best way, for me. Women will come and go; they are amazing to date for a year or so, but....if your life revolves around women, you are not going to be happy. I literally avoided relationships until I was 26 (my current age). Same man, I'm 26 and am now just starting to consider dating. Before I was really focused on my career and academics but also had my fair share of poor habits stemming from my late teens/early 20's: porn, junk food, money management, you name it. My situation has definitely improved with honing those out and having a stable financial situation. I think fiscal stability and targeting out stuff that generally stressed me were things I want to prioritize before having the extra responsibility that comes with romance. It wouldn't be fair to me nor to her.

This was over the course of a year, and after we both left for different careers; we stayed in touch and I would eventually take her out. I made it pretty casual though and planned an activity in the main city near us that I knew we would both like, without putting any pressure on her But my case is not the standard, and I think it was lucky we met that way

Just know that ANYONE can backstab you and be prepared to take the difficult decision as soon as your needs are not covered (if that happens). Yourself is more important than anyone else. This video came at a good time because I'm kind of in that boat. I make a good living as a trucker but don't have many opportunities to meet new people or expand my social life as I'm never home. Working to change that in the next year with a better work life balance and more time at home. I think it would be nice to have a girlfriend and eventually a wife, but I'm not going to settle with some woman who is a net drain on my life, only someone who is willing to build a family with me and will help me strive to achieve better than I already have. I'll try to make the best of my time as a single guy; I view it as God keeping me there to protect me from bad women that aren't the best fit. If it's in his will for me to have my own family then it will happen in due time, but if not, I have other goals I can work towards to still have a meaningful life.

Okay, listen guys. I was in the same place as you were. I was really an introvert. Also I was watching porn, I was socially awkward, I wasn't eating healthy, my skin and hair were mess. But I started with SIMPLE STEPS. And I advice you to do the same. Start with grabbing a piece of paper and write everything that you're not happy about. Then look at it, pick one thing and start working on it slowly going up. Just this. Let's say this thing is the most common like being out of shape. Start with simple 30-minute walk in the evening. And as time passes you're ready to level up and you can increase to one hour and then jump to some basic calisthenics. Over time you will see results and feel way more confident. It's life-changing. Or maybe another thing, watching porn. You can start with limiting it to less time than usual. And then less and even less. You can also block these websites using some software. Obviously I know it's hard but you are much STRONGER than you realize and I know you can do it. I know it's all easier than done but believe me. Life is so much better on the other side. Remember that regardless of your age it is never too late to change. By putting time and effort in yourself you improve and one day you will be happy with yourself and will be in relationship. When I was spending my time with her I was over the moon, but then, in the days when we didn't meet or just the evening after our date I felt really really bad, like my blood was freezing, 'cause I was scared to lose her. I started overthinking, having nightmares and I stopped eating, and I felt without energies, with no more goals or reasons to live but her. This is called "emotional dependence". You can't base your life on a girl. When she won't be there with you, you will be alone and you'll suffer; And when she'll broke up with you, you will be alone and you'll suffer. Give her less importance, and stop believing that "she's the one". Love isn't paranoia, suffering or depression.
I got out of a situationship I shouldnt have been in in the first place and it crushed me. Ive come to realize just how sad and down I am and how obsessive I am to find a girl to make me happy and fill my emptyness and its destroyed me. Its exhasuting to be scowering to find love bcause your so sad and so needy for somebody else to make you happy and for you to use them as your only real source of energy and happiness. I only just now starting to realize how destrctive this has been on my mental and how much I need to focus on myself and embrace being on my own and not needing somebody else to rely on my happyiness. I'm gonna be 28 in a month and I spent my entire life trying to find a girl because I'm this lonely guy who feels like a failure and nuisance to everyone. Completely disagree some of us are codependent no matter what I do no matter what I focus on for myself I've never been happy, but as soon as I have someone special in my life there's a reason to wake up there's a reason to keep pushing, being single has been nothing but misery. To an extent, yes you should be happy when you don’t have a girl. But it is hard to be happy at all when you keep getting rejected no matter how hard you’ve worked on yourself. I’ve done as much as possible: change how I dress, be a better person, a more romantic man, went from a fat kid to a jacked up man, and yet my hit rate still is a tragic 1/8, and the only girl who ever accepted me decided to leave me because she didn’t want a long distance relationship. It really makes you feel something is inherently wrong with you and you’re fucked.

This really is true! At the beginning of this Year nearly one year after my previous relationship ended, I started feeling really good and free again. And then I met someone at work with a beatiful, radiant personality. In the end I chose not to be with her, because I din't feel the need to be in a relationship but I would bet all the money I have made this year on that we would still be together if I would have chosen her (because she wanted to, we even talked about it). So finding a place of internal happiness really works, well what does work mean in this case, because when you reach it you are no longer "doing" it you just are it but you know what I mean. Fun fact, I now find myself back again in a place where I think I need a girlfriend. So on my way I definitly took a wrong turn :/ But the end goal should always be the road, always work on your self and try to make yourself free. Have a great day :)

I'm right there with you. I was insecure the same way forever. I had lots of untreated trauma and mental health. Rejection by girls inflamed my insecurities and I was super clingy, which pushed girls away. But I've experienced a transformation beginning last August. I am also confident in myself these days. Aside from my mom and sister, I'm pretty much alone almost all of the time. I work a part time job where my other coworkers are much older adults and then I go to the gym for a bit then I do Uber Eats at night. It's quite a shitty and lonely grind and I keep telling myself all I need to do is find a new full time job where I can escape this tiny bubble and meet new people in a new space. Idk getting to this solution is the hard part. Making that step to stop using all my free time to play games and chill on my computer to spend more time trying to get a new job to make that leap into a new space. I'm turning 30 this year and I've never been in a relationship. Idk if a new more social job will help with my self happiness but it's what I'm currently working on.
There is an old school psychologist, Albert Ellis, who basically says this: women and relationships are like really good films or short stories. They are awesome, and you can enjoy them. But you don't NEED them. You just prefer and they are nice to have around. Subtle thought switch, but I have always found that to be true. Dating is an amazing part of being young (I am 44 now), but it's just ONE ASPECT of life. Don't make it the whole thing. Friends, adventure, parties....there is more to it.

I know that the title of this is to attract a certain type of demographic and grow your channel and I respect that, but I’d heavily recommend changing it. I’ve watched a lot of videos titled stuff like this. And for the most part, they were all filled with redpill bullshit about how I needed to get rich or become a 1% to ever get a girl and keep her. That kind of content not only made me more insecure but it made me give up hope on everything being with someone ever again. This video that you made, it was real. It was real advice it was a real point that made sense and it wasn’t trying to sell me some ideal that I need to reach some insane level in life just to have a simple relationship that everyone else seems to have. No, it was just, love yourself, because even if you had what you wanted, it won’t help, and eventually when that goes away, you’ll be in the same place. And you’re completely right. I loved this video and I think it’s so important more people hear this. There is hope. I am going to have other relationships in my life I know it. Be upfront with her. Tell her you like her more than a friend and would like to take this friendship to the next level (relationship). If she doesn't want to, let her know you'll respect her decision. This will take the stress off of you and her so she doesn't feel pressured to say yes. In terms of talking to other guys, see if she returns the same energy back that the guys give her. I know lots of attractive girls that will invite the energy from guys but not return it. If she only returns back the same energy to you and not other guys, its a good sign that she sees you as more than the other guys. Not saying she sees you as relationship material though. Good luck

I think it's much more individual. You can do all the self improvement your whole life and not get a relationship that way, you still need to gain experience from actual dating experience, so opportunities as they come mustn't be turned down, otherwise you wont gain valuable experience. As for myself, whenever I'm focusing on what I like and my hobbies I'm not thinking of how lonely I am or the girl I want to get, however whenever I am talking to girls and someone notices me or comes on a date all of these thoughts, neediness, low self esteem returns, therefore I've concluded that it comes from not feeling enough. I think that's what mostly needs to be worked on. And if you can combine the inner peace of when you feel enough with someone who shows interest in you, that might potentially be the actual key.

If you think being in a loving relationship is the only way to be happy then you have already failed that relationship before it's even started. And this is coming from a single individual for all his life. I've seen it more often than I'd like when things go wrong. It's happened to my parents, friends from school or even complete strangers. And I usually end up being the shoulder to cry on asking if they'll be alright. Only be committed to the relationship if you are mentally ready to do so.

Hello Matt, listen, about 2 months ago i was being rejected by a girl who i truly loved and still love so so much; and i think about her every single day but when i do i often feel very sad, not all the time, but you know, 50/50. I wanna accept that she rejected me and move on, but i find myself doing the craziest sh*t like walk infront of her classroom at school everyday just to see her half a second, and when i do it for that half of a secondi feel great but then i come back to my classroom still being sad and thinking about her. I'm not fully depressed but sure is sad. I feel like this even despite going to the gym and train for my sport, without smoking, drinking and clubbing. any advice for move on and stop doing all this crap? Thanks a lot.
I had a slap in the face after dating this one girl almost six years ago in February. After she left me, I decided to go back school to get a degree in medical, I felt like to me it was my turning point for mental health. Since I went back to school, I became a different person. Now I'm one exam from graduating and letting go my past. Would it be nice to find someone to settle down with? Sure, but at this point for me, it's the least of my worries right now. I learned more about myself in school then I did as my younger self. I feel like when I get this degree it's going to be a game changer for me and won't be this depressing person then I once was back then.
Dont have high expectations. Finishing university is not a game changer, the process of going through university is. Just like anything else, do something for the process pf doing it not the ultimate goal of "getting a degree" which isn't bad, but that's not the game changer. I finished a degree and getting rejected for jobs nonstop was definitely not a game changer. Enjoy the process, do personal projects, do activities. You'll see what I'm talking about in the future. your right I don't need girls and I already accepted a long time ago like high school and I still never had a girlfriend or kissed one looks like society has changed since no one seems to make the first move wherever I am at to the point where I stop caring. The reason I go to the gym is to feel better about myself and workout alone no drama and not listen to what others think I'm like a happy incel by this point.
you know i get this, but i feel im in a bit of a different boat. i am happy as is most of the times i have fun colleges i enjoy my job i speak to my friends quite frequently altho its mostly online gaming after high school ended and in general am pretty good and okay with myself i just feel this empty void of someone to hold a craving to love and be loved and as someone that has never had a girlfriend before i dont know where to place this emotion
