This was a simple task, remove sole and add another sole. well it's never the case, as soon as you thing it's a simple job, then it becomes time consuming.
so the soles got replaced and I put a thin leather rand to cover the existing holes on the uppers. overall it turned out great.

I always laugh when people say 'why are your prices so high?" Well, it's situations like this. You're not just paying for labour and materials, you're paying for knowledge, troubleshooting and experience all of which is hard earned. Great job Steve.

I always wonder why people are so rude about Steve’s hands shaking. He’s literally the best cobbler and nobody can even argue that and not to mention he was a little boy living in the middle of an awful war! You should all look it up. My hands would shake too! Great work Steve . Thanks for sharing it!

To your detractors, the first definition of “project” is “An undertaking requiring concerted effort.” And your projects certainly exemplify that! Always a pleasure watching your videos. Peace.
2 года назад
Agree. Also if you don't plot your ideas to the paper it doesn't mean you have not planned them, so it should be called a project. Maybe even agile. Everthing in this world is made at least two times - once in the mind and then in the real world.

Clearly those who say your work aren’t “projects” are not in creative fields. I LOVE that you call these projects and not jobs. It shows that you view these as art projects that you create, not “work.”

One of the definitions of the word "project" is - "a planned piece of work that has a specific purpose." Your use of the word is correct. You could also call it a "task," or "job," as those are synonyms for "project." Let's continue...

Hi Steve, This one is for your Project friend. I was in Project Management for 40 years years so here goes. Your projects have a defined goal. They have a start and an end. They have a resource (you) materials and machinery. They have a cost including overheads and hopefully profit. There is a client. I think you execute a lot of Projects😂😂😂😂 You are a pretty good Project Manager in my Opinion.

He does great work overall, but honestly, I think he works too hastily sometimes. Look at the accidental stab into the leather with the knife near the toe at 2:27. It's because of that that I would not call it perfect. Sometimes I feel like he rushes for the footage. I'm probably a bit biased anyways because he talks while he works and I will always say that someone can work more carefully and delicately when they're not spinning yarns. I feel the same about barbers working on my hair.
