Obviously the episode makes a good case for suspicion, but it's scary someone can be convicted and sent to prison for life purely on assumptions. The only real evidence were the toxicology reports, but their presence alone doesn't seem to implicate someone "beyond a reasonable doubt". I don't know this guy nor am I trying to defend him, just thinking what it would be like if there was an unfortunate event such as a loved one passing away and then people jumping to conclusions about there being ulterior motives.

The only real evidence was the toxicology, which they tied to him (admittedly very loosely) via the timeline. However, they had a really good motive as well. Circumstantial evidence like that is compelling. I've seen people convicted on much less.

Maybe if people are less desperate, more discerning & take time to really get to know a person, there would be more happy marriages. But even then, you have to be willing to work at it. Finding & bonding with your life partner is the most fulfilling thing in the world. And having children together is icing on the cake! Married 47 years to a wonderful man. yes and she’d asked both friends if he looked like he loved her and they (sadly) said it looked to them like he did. The mere fact Linda had to ask (and even asked the blonde to move in and observe) shows she had an internal intuition that he was a danger. Lesson is~ sometimes you can want things to be right, they can even “look” right to you and people who have your best interests at heart, STILL you must listen to your intuition… the whisper in your SOUL is true ~ not what you see or what you wish would be !
