This was doing my head in, partner signed in and her email took over my admin, removed it then I was left without admin and couldn't figure it out too. Cheers for this video, all fixed now!

It work thanks! There's nother way to get into safe mode by cliking F5 if shift doesn't work. If it asks you the amdinistrator's password to acces command promp just hit enter. If writing the command "net user administrator /active:yes" doesn't work and your windows is on another language try replacing administrator with the translation in your language.

Like i have been depressed for whole 2 days thinking about this, my issue was that i was signed in from temporary account, and had no access to anything, it just randomly updated, amd when i signed in i lost everything. so i don't know i i clicked on this video, but i got my account back with everything!!! The PART B worked for me but in computer management there was a snap missing the Local Groups One. So I went to control panel and gave me myself those privileges in manage other account.I chose me account and changed it type to administrator and the previous administrator account vanished!!!!!!! THNX VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU!! But for me the local and group is not avail in my manage so for those who has same problem with me is that window+R and type netplwiz since you're logged in as administrator you can directly change your account into an administrator

Thanks dude, was scared could not do anything on my Laptops. Note: if you do not see local users and groups, then you can go to control panel then user accounts then user accounts then change your account type. Then select your account and make it Administrative.
