It’s so nice to have Klaroline back. I really liked the episode and their interactions if only there was more of it.
I saw there on Tumblr a very mixed reaction to the whole Caroline was afraid of Klaus and wasn’t herself during the TVD Klaroline days. I think Caroline’s guard dropped a lot more than she remembers.
The other big thing in the episode that I didn’t react to was Hayley dying. I thought she had a horrible death. I get the reasons why she couldn’t use the other chick’s ring (I can’t remember her name) and all of that but they should have given her a better death. She didn’t really sacrifice herself for anyone because Klaus was right there, he would be fine and be able help Hope. Which is another reason why I really hated the death. Klaus is meant to be super powerful and her death seemed to take ages, how had Klaus not pulled the stake out of his chest and killed the chick already. Oh and another thing I thought it took a little bit longer she vampires to catch on fire in the sun. That seemed very fast. I have never really been a big fan of Hayley but still she was meant to be the female lead of the show.
