Huang Yan, a talented potter based in Jingdezhen, exemplifies the art of white matte-glazed gongfu teaware. With her work featured in exhibitions in Japan and fine tea houses across China, she has mastered a delicate balance between simplicity and sophistication.
We love how her pieces showcase a minimalist aesthetic that speaks to both elegance and functionality. Visiting her studio, it becomes clear that her workspace is an extension of her artistic vision-organized, intentional, and quietly inspiring. It offers a rare glimpse into not just the art she creates but the thoughtful environment that shapes her process.
