It's amazing this band doesn't get the airplay it deserves. The singer sounds like Toni Haliday of Curve ,Amy Lee of Evenescence .They should get someone who can connect them to mainstream radio. there vey good

Not exsaclly tottaly different.Tomera is darker but the basic sound is the same, voice similiar, Nightwish are better performers and artists in general though, hence the reason why there more popular

The voice is really good :P And this song isn't bad, but the style of the whole style band is too strange for me. I know you, people, call it original but I say strange. Interesting, this song is making me to give them another chance :P I like every second of it... ;)

Yes, I think female singers are better than men, but there are some bands, where the man vocal is needed. Otherwise hun girls are hot as hell, I just know it ^^
Soooo uhm ... I follow them since their demo. The debut cd is 10/10. Superb ! Ordered immediately with a cool t-shirt :> The new one is a little bit disappointing, but still better than what other 90% bands can do xD Julie is sweet, dunno if better or not compared to Simone, they're kind of different girls :) Unfortunately for Julie, Simone wins hands down on pure voice skills. Yes, live Julie really struggles a lot :\ But anyway they are both great bands *thumbs up*
nah...i totally disagree with you... I believe To-Mera is a great band and all of the member of it KICK ASS! I say that..because the music is so powerfull and her voice is really amazing! I mean.... i cant tell anything else... i am speechless everytime i hear their songs

So i know this band some time ago i have 2 Songs of them on their HP nice music its prog with gothic flair the jazzy elements in their music are great ive seen their newest album its really expensive and it have only 8 songs the previous too so sad
Fantastic song, although I don't really think the comparisons to Nightwish are valid. Nightwish are all about grandeur and scale, whereas To Mera seem to me to be more about intricate songwriting.
I urge all prog rock fans to get into this band. They are jaw dropping and make pop music look dead. Please you owe it your slefs to get into this band . DO IT NOW WITHOUT DELAY.

@vstrato Nowdays the vast majority of musicians in any genre use auto-tune, not just pop divas. The reason being that all INSTRUMENTS(Yes, an electric guitar can be auto-tuned), to include the human voice, are not physically capable of being 100% on-key without digital assistance. The differences are tiny, but make the difference between a "natural" sound and one that is... not. The question, then, is less a matter of IF a singer uses auto-tune, but if they need to it sing acceptably on-key.
Evanescence is just a lame nu metal band (pop music for metal fans). People only like them because they have a female singer To-Mera Is Progressive Metal, with jazz elements. Unlike Evanescence, Julie Kiss is seen as just one member of a five-piece band, since the musicians are to be credited with talent as well. The only comparison the the gender of the singers By that logic, Dream Theater must sound very similar to Linkin Park. I mean they both have male singers, so why not?
Give me a million thumbs down, but nothing changes the fact that she will have to do something to break out of Amy Lee's shadow. I love To-Mera and i dont really like the nu-metal Evanescence thing. But i gotta give em credit, Amy Lee was there first. And as far as Julie being better than Amy. I really really want to say she blows Amy out of the water(i don't like evanescence), but i cant distinguish between the two at all.
I love this band and this song in particular. I cant help but point out that she sounds exactly(and convincingly) like Amy Lee. I think that would be the only reason this band would get ripped on. Kinda like how critics tore apart Symphony X for trying to be Dream Theater(I disagree, but..). Amazing band! I just hope she tries to add diversity in her singing to help separate the Amy Lee misconception.
that is totally right we even nightwish has as theme gothic but is at itself power metal. And the same is with other bands like evanesecnce they like black and that is why so many gothics listen to it but they are not gothic and thay make just rock. And I can contineu like it I love power metal like this and I do not know them good enough for saying that their theme in music is gothic orientated.
Wow!, To-mera are awesome, i totally agreed with the girl who said this band will become huge. I cant stop listening to this song, i play it like 8 or 10 times a day, my roommates are also impressed. I've shared this video with practically everyone of my contacts on MSN and on IRC, and ive NOT come across a bad response. Though some have compared it to other bands, To-Mera is unique and ass-kicking as can be.
Quite true, the music is very good, but the thing is: the vocals clearly sound unnatural and retouched. There are ways to use autotune and protools so that the vocals still sound natural, and this is not the case. They need a better producer or a better singer, but i don't dislike them, you know. . .
I know. I liked Adagio a lot better before they changed their vocalist. Speaking of Brazil. Do you have any idea how to get a copy of Glory Opera? I've tried and tried to get an official copy, but I can't find it sold anywhere. lol. I had to order Aquaria and Endless from Japan. Brazilian bands are hard to acquire here in the US. =(
Hey buddy, I was a Nightwish-fan in the Tarja Turunen-time. Sometimes I listen their albums, Oceanborn and Once can named a little more complex, then Evanescence, but Nightwish is far behind To-Mera in complexity. Evanescence-Nightwish-To-Mera: abacus - Commodore 64 - Pentium 4 :-D In To-Mera songs the chorus is rare, for example.
Good to see other people knowing this is NOT Gothic Metal. It's progressive Metal. And yeah, I've tired of the fact that any band with a woman as a vocalist is immediately tagged Gothic and/or compared to Nightwish and the highly overrated Evanescence. Luckily there's lots more bands out there like this or somewhere close to it.
The minute that a Gothic Metal band starts adding in odd time signutres and using Jazz influence then no. I mean really name me just one Gothic Metal band that has a sax a phone in one of there songs. It's Progressive metal nothing to do with Gothic Metal. If you get a Gothic feel it's because they have a lot of different Influences one of them being Opeth.
whoah no need to get aggy about it. no offence if you are a die hard fan but to an untrained ear or a general listener they do sound like a technical nightwish with elements of jazz and this is purely because of the voice which they cant help. same as if it was a deep manly cry of a voice it would sound fairly like symphony x.
To-mera consider themselves as a progressive metal in some media. I absolutely agree with that, but they should also mention jazz, cause there are quite many "jazz parts" in the album. And that's just something I have never heard before, from a metal band I say! And that is absolutely fantastic. Keep on doing what you're doing!
No one can possibly compare this band to Within Temptation! This is progressive metal, not nu-metal or whatever that is called. These musicians are very talented, they have mixed jazz into their music. But what comes to Within Temptation, everyone could play that kind of music. Sharon's voice is an exception, I admit that.
People call Gothic any metal band with front-woman =/ Well, they call themselves progressive/metal/thrash in myspace and that fits far better than the old gothic metal tag. Oh! Listen to their new album, it's far better than the first one (more prog, more jazzy).

I already did. I´m part of the official Brazilian Adagio Community in orkut, and there one guy posted something about Venturia. Great band also, I agree. And BTW, Adagio is also great, but their first two albums are better than the last ones.
TO-MERA SOUND NOTHING LIKE NIGHTWISH! I'm sick of people comparing bands with females singing clean vocals to Nightwish, and I'm sure others are sick of it too. I mean for fuck sake, To-mera and Nightwish are two entirly different metal sub-genres.
I dunno. As a person who goes far enough "underground" to have had limited-edition Necrophagia items, that even perplexes and even angers me. Everybody is so bent on sub-genre segregation that it's pitiful.

one of the best bands of all time! i have seen them live and they are amazing. julia is a relly nice person to talk to. i hope that this band last a long time! everyone should like this sort of music! :P
Great song from a great band. What really stands out is the great atmosphere created by the instrumental composition, and Julie Kiss's vocals. Too bad I will never have the opportunity to see bands such as these where I live.
Love this song - love this band. True about Julie sounding like Amy, but I can still hear the difference. With that said, any female vocalist singing gothic themes is going to sound similar.
don't be dumb. this isn't their a representation of their proggier side, but this is definitely progressive. Plenty of 4/4, but they do play with rhythmical elements quite a lot.

I think they sound like a cross between Opeth and Dream Theater but with a gorgeous gal fronting them - Nightwish? Pah they have had their day but I still listen to Wishmaster & Oceanborn

to mera are awesome. yeah they are kinda like nightwish but they are so much more talented. this is more of a commercial sounding song compared to their other shit.
I have Delusions but I haven't picked up this album yet. Nightwish and Lacuna Coil are very good, but these guys are the best of the female vocalist bands.
The only other female fronted band I would compare this to is probably Epica. . .I've loved To-Mera since they first sent me a myspace invite,instantly hooked.
i would call evanescence to-mera light, being the mainstream version that the masses are meant to easily consume. To-mera is more complicated than that
