every 14 minutes? i swear i camped one's spawn near frostmil one time and it spawned in like around 7 minutes, and i didn't even move my ship half the time for it to respawn, otherwise i'd be sinking 2-3 ships in the mean time while waiting for it to respawn. i got bored after around 50 minutes of doing it after killing it like 6 times. also a giant white eyes spawned in place of it once within the time frame just for a bit more info.
Yeah no, your right. I think I just got bad rng on the spawn times and didn't bother to research their spawns since most of the nest spawn points are really buggy(or maybe it's intentional idk) and just don't respawn him. Because of that I just decided that putting anymore research just wasn't worth it because server hopping was just a much more efficient method of grind Obolus. So uh, that one's my bad.
Probably just start with sailing up to windrow and hop on the route from there. Also, I haven't tested this yet, but circling the nimbus sea might be more efficient since there is currently a lot more sea than actual islands
i thought it doesn’t respawn so i stayed down there but then i heard the noise and too late to swim away also how can you view every islands like that?
I think your info on their respawning is a little off. Every single time I have been doing any sort of farming it always respawns after 10 minutes even when I am right above the nest.
TLDR: oops, my bad, I didn't research the spawn mechanics enough cause Obbu spawn points are buggy with most of them not respawning him and server hopping is much more efficient anyways. I wouldn't be surprised if my info on respawning was a little off. Since Obolus respawns are so finnicky with most of their nests just not respawning any Obolus I deemed it too inefficient to be considered super useful, so I only looked into their respawning mechanics in like three different servers. Only one of three or four nests actually respawned the Obolus, the first nest taking around 9 minutes, the second taking 13, and the third taking 14. I stayed in each server for around three cycles, but the numbers on each nest didn't really change so I rounded up and said on average 14 minutes to respawn. As for me saying that being close to the nest caused Obolus to not respawn, that's an oopsies on my part. I assumed that the bugged nests that didn't respawn Obolus weren't respawning him because they were near islands that players usually didn't frequent, but I didn't hover around a single spawn for ten minutes to wait for him to respawn and instead went to do some treasure charts.
@@wynnter6834 Yeah I figured from the fact that you preferred server hopping that you mostly did that rather than staying in the same server. The unintentional misinformation isn't that bad when you are mostly correct and also recommending people to do a different strategy anyway.
