Confused government. How many people abroad still send dollar to Nigeria? Online platforms like Lemfi, Africhange, etc, now take our dollars and credit our recipients in naira at black market rate. This has made business bad for IMTOs like World Remit, Western Union, etc, that often pay in foreign currency. That means for many years overseas remittances have not reached Nigeria in hard currency.
Why? Doesn't the CIA spy on other countries. Do other countries go after Americans when they publish their secrets? Assange is an Australian, and a foreigner and a journalist who got the possession of the files outside the US. The New York Times published the wiki leaks. Did the US prosecute the Times? Can the US prosecute, say, a Chinese citizen living in China who publishes US secrets? If Assange is living in the US, then his prosecution is legitimate. This is sheer bullying!
Zamfara Gold and the likes are example of why Nigeria is not progressing economically and as a society. In 2027, we only need candidates with balls of steel!!!!
Tinubu & efcc must go after the everyone who stole from Nigeria especially in the last few decades. Many of the embezzled/stolen funds are most likely in dollars. Nigeria need every kobo that is left of these stolen monies.
