Omg yes!! There’s always that pressure especially when being surrounded by friends & family that are all in relationships 😮‍💨 you may or may not necessarily feel the need to be in a relationship but there’s almost this sense of feeling left out or standing out 😮‍💨

i love that you talked about this !! i have been with my boyfriend for 7 years and i do feel that i had worked on myself before but even during the relationship. but yes truly being your self is the most important because that is genuinely you !!! there is no such thing as a perfect person love that but yes love that you said that its ok to have standards too !! oh your puzzle of the heart metaphor that was adorable i love that!

Very insightful, Kari! A lot of really great tips and advice. I've been with my husband for 20 years now and still going strong. We are definitely our own persons, and we accept each other as we are. I'm not saying we're perfect and we do have our problems, but we love each other very much and will continue to work on our relationship. He's a great husband and a wonderful father. I agree, never settle.

I'm so sorry I'm late to this video, Kari!! But it was so insightful and inspiring as always :)) I completely agree with your views in this video. I think it's better to be on your own than to settle for someone just because you're lonely. So true that you don't want to waste your time or the other person's time either! No one should have to lower their standards just because they're lonely :) Yes, I totally agree about not taking relationships lightly now that you're in your 20s too. You definitely want to find someone loyal and caring who will be a good father figure! I hope you find that person soon

I was watching this video with my skills coach and I thought it was a great video, You really shared some amazing questions and tips. But last weekend, I was actually depressed (and posted a youtube short, but later deleted it) about why does everybody hate me and I'm DOOMED to be alone forever. In my sewing class, I saw a man making up a class and I thought he was cute, but I later found out that he was gay. 🥲 Why am I being punished for not being in love?! I am obviously going to DIE ALONE and maybe I'm destined to be single. Everybody around me are in relationships and I'm all alone! There are times where I am happy being single BUT at the same time, I want to be in a relationship so I can fit it and won't be a loser. Also, I've been unhappy about my weight and I always assume/think that guys want thinner and prettier model like girls instead of overweight/plus size girls. I was like maybe If i dropped 20-50 pounds or starved myself, guys will like me and maybe I'll be happier. I sometimes feel like I'm forced/destined to be with an unattractive guy who the rest of my life. What can I do, Kari?

Aww 🥺 I hope this video helped! Everyone is on a different path in life at different times. Just because everyone around you is in a relationship- that doesn’t mean you’ll be single forever. Trust me, I know it can feel lonely at time being single. But it’s best to be single than to rush into something that’s not meant to be. Being single doesn’t make anyone a loser. If anything I think the people who don’t jump from relationship to relationship are the coolest! As much as I wish I had a boyfriend right now- I’m at ease knowing that the universe/God has someone picked out for me and he’s out there somewhere. All good things take time 💕. If a guy is only attracted to someone’s body- he’s only in it for you know what. A real man will love you for YOU. You should never place your self worth in another guys hands. And you should never change yourself for anybody. You’re beautiful inside and out- just the way you are 💗. And your Prince Charming will be lucky to have you one-day 🥰!
