You explained well how to used prepositions of to and for. I compliments you, because you are a good teacher. When i was still in high school our teachers were not able to explained how to used the english prepositions 3 decades ago. But, it's not too late to learned an english grammar. For sure, if you are my teacher in english, i thought i'll be good on written and spoken in english language.
Rudy, I’m surprised why you always use the “past tense” of the verb whenever you use the preposition “to” after a verb. In English we always use the base form (infinitive) of the verb whenever we use “to”. For examples: to USE, to EXPLAIN, to LEARN, to TEACH, to SING, to WALK, to DANCE, to TALK, to GO, to SEE, to DRINK, etc. I hope that you can read my comment.

Honestly, when I was in high school pag pangit pakinggan at hindi bagay sa sentence, hindi yun ang sagot... nalilito na ako nun pag parehong magandang pakinggan. I learned everything when I was in college because my teacher in English 1a was very good! 😄
