When I re-read the whole toaru, I remember the othinus arc. He is not even recognized publicly nor they pay him for his help. Think about it, he stopped a coup in England and stopped the WWIII and all he gets is nothing except being saved by someone
if he gets recognized, then many people will be coming after him. either because they think his power is too much of a threat to be left alive or simply to try and experiment what he can do. just look at accelerator's backstory when they found out about his power. point is he would be kissing his peaceful life goodbye and would most likely be on the run his whole life. which is why this outcome is for the best, its not like he does this to get recognized anyway...

Wtf Touma from the beginning was stronger than Accelerator, both physically and mentally. Battle IQ Touma > Accelerator .Take away the Accelerator power and what do you have left? Now take away Touma's power and we still have an experienced street fighter . And it's ironic You ask this since I also wonder when the author will stop buffing Accelerator with the power of friendship lol .Misaka Network, Telesma, Clonoth, Artificial Demon...lol .Literally Accelerator was saved by Index in the battle against Kihara, was saved by Awaki in the battle against Komaba, was saved by Mugino in the battle against Kakine, was saved by Will in the battle against Nephytiss, didn't die against Aiwass because the script wanted to let him live etc. Black wings, white wings, wings of platinum? Lol it was all a gift from Aleister, Accelerator didn't get any of that on his own .

By doing this he was invincible. In other words, he didn't even know how to fly properly. In addition to never having participated in a real battle, exchanged punches with someone or felt physical pain in life. That is, the stage where Accelerator fought Touma for the first time, was completely new for the albino to adapt right away. While Touma spent 16 years of his life running and fighting. Touma became an expert street fighter, he learned street fighting tactics, Touma learned to Bluff, to use cheap speeches to distract the opponent, to use dirty tricks, use the location around you, he obtained precoginion etc. Examples? Against Style, Touma discovered that he used rune cards, so he used water to wash the ink off the paper and make Inoccentius disappear. Against Agness he had the Amakusa spread out Styile's card throughout the church so they could create a large area and allow Styile to use magic all over the place. In ep 9 Touma used his incredible acting talent, smooth talk and persuasion to pass himself off as a "dark" guy and make the alchemist feel afraid. Touma has already used coffee to neutralize Aztec magic, threatened a little girl using a drill, tried to strangle a serial killer, lured the opponent so that he was run over by a train, avoided a Railgun that has 3x the speed of sound, escaped from 2 buildings thrown at him using the windows to escape, dodged electric rays while drunk, used the opponent's ideology in his favor among other things. So yes, physically Touma is stronger than Accelerator. Touma's Battle IQ is also superior to Accelerator because he has more experience than the Albino. mentally? Well, Accelerator is explosive and loses control easily, while Touma is more down to earth. I remember that in the first fight of the two, Accelerator created an explosion of flour to hit Touma but he was almost caught too ( stupidity here ), against the Hungers the albino stopped the rotation of the earth to remove a building from the ground and throw it away just because he got pissed off, he didn't even think about the innocents or anything. Against Aiwass he went after the self-proclaimed angel without thinking, all because he was irritated and it was almost fatal for him. We know that Accelerator was traumatized by the clone project and it left his mind unstable. Remember that it was Touma who opened Accelerator's eyes when the albino wanted to protect Last Order but thought he was a monster to do it. Accelerator was conflicted with himself and needed help breaking free. So yes, Mentally Touma is superior to Accelerator.

While Touma suffers in every fight because his power only works at close range, therefore, he has to think about how to approach the opponent. In the first fight Accelerator threw several containers at Touma but he dodged it thanks to precoginition, and after feeling pain for the first time, Accelerator lost his mind. That's how Touma managed to hit him. And Imagine Breaker isn't invincible, he couldn't negate Misaka's energy ball on Railgun T, he couldn't negate Coronzo's flaming sword, he couldn't negate the ST Germain virus, much less Accelerator's black wings. Anime fight is not canon, in the Accelerator novel he had thrown 100 black wings at Touma. Touma couldn't nullify the wings, so he was smart and used that weak point in his favor, Touma blocked, repelled and made one wing hit each other as he tried to get closer. Even Accelerator noticed Touma's precognition, Touma then grabbed one of the wings and twisted it making Accelerator lose his balance. Again Touma's Battle IQ showing to be badass. And yet Touma is still weak against saint level mages who have supersonic speed or robots because he can't read their attacks. That's what makes Touma balanced, he's a joker in which he wins the strong but loses to the weak. He was the character who lost the most in the series and is currently in the top 10 strongest characters along with Accelerator. So I'm not wanking him, I just think you're underestimating Touma and overestimate Accelerator. The Accelerator you know from the clones arc, would barely make it into the top 50 strongest characters in the series, he would also lose to saint level mages, and even Dark Matter would be stronger than Accelerator. Accelerator is only in the top 10 today because of what anime-only fandom calls a "nerf". As for Touma, his powers are sealed because of Imagine Breaker. So in terms of power, there's no way to compare the two, in the end, nobody knows what Touma's Power is. But it's obvious that he'll be the strongest, he's the main protagonist lol . His own name already gives the predict: Kamijou Touma "The person superior to God" The one who purifies Gods and Kills demons ".
