Hell yea. That wrap was the best wrap I've ever seen, and the entry burnout with all the colours flying was a thing of beauty. Just that moment was the best thing ever and I'm a guy who really doesn't generally like burnouts, however summernats is the only time and place I reckon they belong.

it's probably a miracle in disguise that the engine poop'ed out the way it did, when it did. if it hadn't i could see the back end of toast having burnt right out if the fire dudes hadn't got his attention in time after the tires went up.

Just that powerglide tranny set up was over 20k and that is just one part he has bought over the last year. Each motor cost more than any car I have ever bought new.

@@fastfoodyums a bare 815hp 632 Big Block from the Summit site(a Blueprint Engine specifically) is $13k, the powerglide setup that Garrett has in Toast is like $18-20k roughly, the car probably $3500ish varying depending on the seller I mean the pricetag just goes up when you put what Garrett's put into Toast lol. This car is probably worth I'm gonna say easily $50-60k, but I could be overshooting.

Man, I'd love to have a 5.7 hemi made by them in my daily driver. Their builds are SO nice. I plan to drive my magnum until she falls to pieces, and if that means swapping in a new engine I say fuck it why not. ^_^

Cleetus, I hope this is a lesson for all other companies that regardless of the outcomes partnering with you is a win/win situation.

Ocean, I have the pleasure of knowing several Aussies here in Michigan. Our neighbor at our cabin is from there and every summer we spent a few weeks with their family that visit and I guarantee you we havw never met such wonderful people. We are very lucky to have such good neighbors they check on us and watch over our place when we are gone and we do the same for them. Someday I hope to build up my liver so I can party as hard as mates, we have great times a s love them like family. Friendliest people ever...😊

A handful of these cars are running full Racepak data loggers like you'd see on drag cars to monitor temps and stuff like RPM. I don't doubt some of them think of these burnouts in terms of actual driveshaft revolutions

@@chrishavill6458 yeah that's exactly what I'm saying. Here in the states we just do burnouts for fun and don't really think that hard about it. But the guys in Australia quite literally look at the mathmatics/science of it. No one here in the States would ever think of pulling 500 RPM out of their tune just to get an extra 10 seconds added to their burnout time. That just shows the true dedication to their sport they have. I admire the dedication to figuring things out to such a fine detail like that.

@@garygsp3 I'm will bet he did not do it with his foot. He literally said they changed their diff to change the tire speed. Then went out and did a skid to time it. Then said he pulled 200 RPM out to extend it. He was talking about staying at a steady RPM and specifically not pulling your foot off and on. The only way to achieve a steady RPM like that while throwing your car around that burnout pad is to set your MAX rev limiter to whatever RPM you want to sit at and keep the pedal to the floor.

That's the part that got me, someone at blue print knew he was going to be down under and thought to ship the exact same motor to a distributor as close to summernats as possible. "hear, hold this, got a feeling we might be needing it soon." All without telling Cleet. If all goes smoothly, no need for the motor, no need for cleet to even know it was in the country. That's the type of company i want to work for... Especially given that i am an engine builder myself 😁
