Watching him swipe all the gear off the table, watching you guys hand the deck back and forth, then the joycults teleporting onto the board, was too much. Laughed way harder than I should. Also heard a doom track ;) How many woobs do you think have gone to Seattle so far? Is my dream of owning the first woob in Seattle dead?
0:03 okay.. what's with those overheads?? that placement is sooo odd, also why do you have so many mics on the cymbals? It's hard to see but it looks like you dont have a mic on the snare side of the snare either, and what do you have mic'd on the kick? I'm only asking about this because i'm currently going to school for audio production and engineering and i've been learning about how to properly mic a drumset and what mics to use and the phase issues that can occur
the mics had to be moved around for this video because my drums take up a lot of space. each drum is micd up and almost each cymbal, its not necessary for each cymbal to be micd. ive been studying audio and recording drums and other instruments for years.
ah fair enough. I'm guessing you're just using a bunch of Pyle mics? its hard to see but I doubt you have that many 421's. I personally don't mic up the hi-hat or the ride, I just use two overheads, top and bottom snare, in and out kick, tom's, and a couple room mics cause it works great for metal and hard-hitting songs
