Just started pipe smoking. Using cob pipes and this Irish Flake. I think this stuff is pretty tasty. I have literally nothing to compare it to, but it’s robust, flavorful, spicy on the retrohale, and has enough nicotine to easily replace my cigarettes. Smoked cigars and hand-made unfiltered cigarettes for years, so the nicotine is actually a necessity. This stuff is fantastic to have with a cup of coffee in the morning, great way to start the day. Thanks for the video.
On a flake journey at the moment, really good video on your flake journey. Such a great and humorous chat an description of flavors /cut of the flakes. Cheers Brother
Phil, well done! This vid is packed with accurate, useful information, for the flake novice through the flake veteran. Thank you for sharing your wealth of tobacco knowledge.
A great review Phil! I might just give this a try 😊 I like a nic hit anyway. Your Meerschaum has a lovely colour to it, sign of many enjoyed bowls. Have a great weekend my man. 😊👍
Sounds like a good one, have a couple tins and have yet to try it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. Have a great weekend and happy piping brother.
Great review! Like your style and subbed! So glad I ordered some Stirling flake from Germany, for here in holland I can’t find a lot of the stronger in nicotine blends. They sell this in a place in Amsterdam I found out, so before getting in my Stirling I will give this one a try!👍🏻
I want to try this very much, I just didn't want to pay my bloody Local shop $18.50 + tax for a tin of it. I've heard the nicotine is strong from many reputable people.
Had a couple of tins of Irish Flake a few years ago and loved the stuff. Probably due to the fact it's a tad hard to get anything better here in Argentina....so I'll give it a four and a half. 👍
Thanks for the review Phil. I too prefer blends with a little more edge to them. However I think I might pick up a tin sometime since it’s so readily available here in the States. I am smoking some Dunhill Dark flake as we speak. I enjoy many of the Dunhill/Peterson blends. Take care
I must try some Sterling flake and the other blends you mentioned because I swear by Irish flake and if they are better they truly must be great. Take care!/Johan
Well to be honest, there’s not much between them, just an earthier bolder taste than the Irish flake. The ultimate I think is still Gawith Hoggarth dark flake.
Thanks Phil it is probbably the only tobacco i have tried two months ago and decided to leave for next year. Seems taht i am not a dark person yet ,maybe as dark as perique. Nikos
Haha I’m still here Phil is that it !! Well you know your tobaccos mate I like them all actually I’ve got a tin of Peterson’s flake I’m going to crack it open like now. Nice pipe colouring is getting there I think ps Anice I like it with black coffee till next time happy piping

@Zachary Becker, as far as the undersigned goes I'd think this Irish Flake is more rich in nicotine than any Condors be it ready rubbed or Long Cut , I smoke both that plus HH Old Dark fired quite often, this Irish flake seemed to me be even stronger than this renowned Revor Plug by G&H
