He explained his plans because he wanted to create war, which will bring unity through the nation’s teamwork and dedication creating peace that way. If he won, genjustu over the entire world and peace in his mind. If he lost, the nations would unite to stop a common enemy, making the ninja world, after the war, a better place.

I'll tell you why, thats a common error in writing a story: the author makes the perfect enemy with the perfect plan, but since its perfect, it would work perfectly. Then they see the problem: the plan is perfect. They need something to stop that, and by using a character so full of himself that he could tell others about his plans was the less ridiculous idea.
He wanted the world to abandon their hope and accept the world of illusions. Sure he would easily win w/o announcing his plan but wheres the fun with that? Its like you kill your most hatred enemy w/o torturing him.
2 reasons First, he wanted to give them a peaceful alternative. That was his will, that's why he explained his plan, so that they understand and unite with him. Second, didn't give any extra information to them that could be used, he only explained why he did what he did, they already knew he was collecting all the beasts, they already knew they had to protect naruto. By declaring war he actually made it easier because naruto would be forced on the battlefield.
Nawaz you clearly didn't watch the series Obito IS stronger than the five kage. First of all, he challenged the 4th hokage and even he (who is way stronger than Tsunade) said that Obito was a mastermind. He also put the 4th mizukage THE THREE TAILS JINCHURIKI under a genjutsu which killed him. These kage were WAY stronger than the current kage and Obito still had an easy time with them. This is because his kamui is OP and the kage wouldn't be able to counter it because the only one who can is Kakashi.

For those who are saying Obito is weak. 1. He was not well-trained in any ninjutsu. 2. He only had one eye. 3. Even though he had all chakra nature he did not have masted any Jutsu as he used all his time planning, perfecting ying-yang release and getting five chakra nature. So, he only used one Sharingan and taijutsu and some times wood release. 4. He had his nemesis kakashi with his other Sharingan, and he was emotionally wound and when he saw those people especially naruto and his word he stated hesitating and doubting himself and this slowed his brain process. Then also he was able to fight in great ninja war and kick their ass.
Yes he was a little bit strong but not like people are overestimating him like he is stronger than Madara, Minato and Itachi. He is nothing in front of them

Crazy how the whole war arc happened over the course of a few months in story time but it took 6 years in real time just to wrap up this arc. Just like it took 4 years story time to finally bring Sasuke back but it was about 13 years in reality, literally from end of OG Naruto to end of Shippuden. Funny how anime time works.
