At one time or another there were 22 of these Chance Rides Toboggan coasters operating at parks and boardwalks across the USA with even more traveling to the various state fairs, but today there are only two left still operating. Do you know where the other one is located? (Hint - We also posted videos of it on out RU-vid channel.)

I remember riding the one in Ocean City, MD around 15 years ago or so. It was a lot of fun at night, pointing straight into the sky and coming out the top looking over the beach.

I rode that one too, just a few years ago. I remember it was pretty cool except for the ridiculous drop at the bottom that slammed my head into the roof. XD

I rode the Toboggan in Ocean City, Md., several times, but the last time was in 1975 (that's not a typo).

That one is actually demolished now, if you didn't know. I was disappointed to see they took it out, but it's gone.

Been trying to find out the name of this ride for years. We had one in Hayward, CA at a traveling carnival. I vividly remember riding this in 1986. I was 8. I was a big baby and I remember being terrified going up the lift. I couldn’t comprehend how we weren’t going to fall on our backs. 😂 Good memories.

Santas Village in East Dundee, Illinois had one of these in the 1970s. It was my favorite ride as a kid

Rode one these in the 70s at Santa's Village in Dundee, IL. That signatures klick Klack sound while going up the shafft and then breaking out out into that hairpin turn wow...

I rode this when it was brand new. It was a fun ride until you got to that first "dip" at the bottom, then you would whack your head against the unpadded back of the car. As others have said, the coolest part was the lift.

I remember seeing this in a Fat Albert episode. The gang was following an older "rebel bad boy" and he convinced them to check out the abandoned amusement park. One of these was one that they rode on, but it was called the Hippy Whip.

I rode this once when I was about 10, with my brother and uncle. I liked it, but being pulled straight up made me nervous, what if it fell straight back down. Our local fair never had it again.

I bet that this ride would be alot better if they had different trains/cars for it, because as I'm watching the video it sort of reminded me of one of them gumball machines that you put the money in and then the gumball rolls down the cylindrical track to the bottom. So instead of the regular train/car it can be a round type cage that riders get in and while you're in the cage it spins you upside down and all around, or something like that.¯\_(ツ)_/¯👍

If I owned a park ide have tons of old rare rides and coasters. Ide have chance come in build a better train and smooth out the airtime hills. Or maybe add a helix on it as a permanent install.

It was this ride that had a car come back down the tube crashed into another car busted there legs so this ride caused to ban all carnival rides in Manhattan beach California guessing 1970s

I've been on the ride and heres a few things I HATE about it: 1-When you go up the tube it feels like eternity till you get to the top 2-The cart is EXTREMELY CLAUSTROPHOBIC 3-When you go down those hills, you get HAMMERED back and forth 4-And most of all..YOUR BASICLY SITTING ON YOUR BACK WITH YOUR LEGS UP WHEN YOU GO UP THE TUBE

What if it gets stick in the lift tunnel? How would you get out?

I ran this ride in 1973 when I was 15 years old, traveled with Happyland Carnivals, in Michigan joining in Ionia Michigan Free Fair. Then onto Bad axe Mi. Then Midland and that's where the chain in the tunnel BROKE and the car stopped dead in the tunnel. The clicking noise you hear going up is a safety catch that will automatically fall in place by the sudden downward movement of the Tub. There were two young girls on the ride and they were taken out one at a time. I quit that ride and joined the paratrooper. Going then to Cadillac, and ending in Traverse City.
