Listening to this song and seeing how time passes, going back to your old songs, man time sure flies. I started listening to you 7 years ago, I was fricking 11 years old wtf At that same point I was a huge fan of Avicii so you were such a good discovery. I can’t stress this enough. At that same age I felt lost for a lot of topics… When I started listening to you and to Tim, from that moment on most of my life I’ve had a huge optimism by my side and it’s weird the connection I felt just listening to your music. I never got tired of your tracks which is even more incredible to me, I don’t remember commenting on your songs before but now that I feel nostalgic, I want to thank you, for me your music was like that book, movie, or whatever piece of art that inspire people to create great things.

Alternative interpretation: Officer Hutchens, although down in the slums they simply call him "Them", is looking for trouble in the ugliest part of San Francisco. A very specific kind of trouble, the kind you find as an undercover cop. He didn't ask for the assignment, but he didn't sign up for a cozy job either. The rain felt especially cold that night as he approached the only spot on the block that wasn't illuminated by all the neon from downtown or the interstate above, a run-down bar. It was something of a hole-in-the-wall place, a perfect cover up, and home to one of the most influential crime lords west of the Mississippi. As Hutchens walks in he meets eyes with the bartender, a plain woman in a short dress and cashier's apron. To a bystander everything looks normal, but to the cop and bartender it's anything but. She knows he's one of "Them", his steel, almost blindingly bright gaze and professional posture go right through his denim jacket and khakis. But this isn't the cop's first rodeo, he came to this particular bar for a reason, and the shocked eyes gives her away compared to the oblivious patrons. Hutchens sits calmly and asks for a shot of whiskey. It's been a while since he's touched the glass, must've been since just after The Tech War, but he pushes aside all the memories of long nights struggling with psychosis with a sharp, impatient tap on bar. The bartender, feigning infatuation, slinks over after a couple minutes with a quick apology and the desired whiskey. But before the officer can take it, he's hit over the head by some great force. He wakes up with the world dark, then bright as day as the sack is pulled from his head. An old trick, horribly dated from how the culture has changed to be exactly that all the time. Besides the bright spotlight shining at him the rest of the room is pitch black. Emerging from the darkness is that same bartender, now armed with a truncheon. As she lifts it to strike Hutchens, he instinctually raises his arm to deflect the blow, only to find it tied to the back of the chair. The hits and the questions keep coming, she, and her boss, want to know everything. How will officer Hutchens escape from this one? Who knows?
