This isn't my experience - ive lost several friends to cancer ( most because of cigarettes) They - all of them - were ready to go because they were in such agony - they were nothing like their selves
I'm dying of liver cancer. I have tears most days because of the sadness I bring to my family. I lived a good life, traveled the world and raised 3 wonderful boys with my wife. Yea, you know it's coming but how do we just give up? Guess time will tell? We all live off the "GOD HEARTBEAT"!
I’m sorry for your troubles. How can anyone let go voluntarily of morning, afternoons and evenings? It’s our story and our passage to the unknown. I’m in my early 50’s and I can’t thinking I’m getting nearer to the end. We all end, but we don’t want it to. Life it’s a beautiful movie, your the producer, the sound check guy and everything else in between, but the end you cannot pause or re-record. I’ll think of you now.
I've been so sick a few times that I actually prayed to die. But I've lived with severe chronic pain and diabetes for over 45 years also. Idk what to say to my family and friends so I don't say anything. I talk to God. the good, bad, and everything in between... I hope you find some kind of peace.❤
I hope God heals you completely, sir. Will be praying for you. My Father had liver cancer also we lost him in 2002. He was 56 yrs old. I am now 58 and miss him very much. Take care of yourself and trust in Jesus Christ, surround yourself with people who Love you. GOD BLESS
Years ago I was stationed in a tiny outpost in Iraq. Toby Keith and his guitarist were flying up to Baghdad to do a show on Camp Liberty. As they were flying over, he looked out of the door of the helo and asked “Will those guys get to come to the show?” The pilots and other dudes said probably not because we’re so far away and there’s only 60 of us stationed at that JSS. He told them, and I quote “land this mother fucker” (for those of you that never saw him live or met him, he had a habit of using profanity which is awesome for some reason). Him and another guitarist got out and played a two hour show for less than 100 of us just because we wouldn’t be able to make it to his show at Liberty and he met and took pictures with each and every person there. He was a genuine person and a good soul. RIP sir. Thank you for everything.
When I was 16/17 years old, my dad and his at the time wife went to see Toby Keith at the White River Amphitheatre, and they won meet and greet passes from a radio station, apparently my step mom spilt her beer down her pants, and when they met Toby she was like "I spilt my beer, I swear I didn't pee myself." And Toby nudged my dad's arm with his elbow and said, "I'm just getting her earned up for you."😂 It's obviously not my story, but it was my favorite one, because my dad was genuinely happy and enjoyed the interaction❤
Going home is not the worst thing that can happen. Not knowing God when we need him, while here, is. God bless his family with peace for their loss of our American Hero. A Great Man.
I think Toby was just living it up and savoring every moment. He was so steadfast in his faith and he was not scared. We lost a true Titan when the old man was let in. Rest in peace forever, TK!
Toby NEVER let the old man in; cancer BROKE in and ROBBED him of his entire LIFE. R.I.P. TOBY.....We STILL "like you now"! Most of us, including myself, still LOVE you now. ❤❤❤
My mom passed of cancer. It’s a typical body response to get a burst of energy leading up to the last days. It’s your body’s fight or flight kicking in, trying to stay alive.
Where was this Lord of yours when he got cancer? You think almighty wouldn’t let this happen. Oh, let me guess that plan y’all speak of when things don’t go your way.
@@nmrainmann1 another one of these people this is an example of the denier all things happen for a reason repent now and become a follower of Jesus but shall you don't you will be subject to eternal punishment
@@nmrainmann1Even tho people like you piss me off to no end with this crap, I genuinely feel sorry for your type smh. I ain't perfect, VERY FAR from it, but I have a relationship with the Lord like I never thought possible 💯. You always hear people talk about how they can "feel God" or hear him and what not, but once you actually do experience those things yourself it totally changes everything you ever thought or believed, in the best kind of way.
@nmrainmann1 If you knew the Lord by letting him into your life, you would soon realize with experience, knowledge and wisdom.....that sickness doesn't come from God. Give it a try, He already knows who you are, he's just waiting for YOU to open that door.
Toby was a real man. You are missed. Thank you for all your wonderful years of entertainment and music. God needed you in heaven to perform for everyone there.
It’s NOT eerie. He didn’t want attention for his cancer. He knew he was going to die soon, he continued to do what he does best. He sang, he encouraged others around him, he recognized his family. He was a G. I don’t like you trying to add creepy music and ominous themes to get views for about another man’s death. Especially Toby. Dude was a solid guy, got sick, and still pleased everyone else.
Agree. This is not cool in my book. Playing this eery music makes me sick to my stomach. And he knew he didn't have much time. These concerts were his way to say goodbye. Shame on this page. They just want views. 😢
@@35547or maybe the person who made and posted the video truly believes there's something fishy going on with his death. I mean I don't personally but look how many people believe Tupac or Elvis or MJ is alive or think that there were suspicious circumstances surrounding their death. Have you ever thought maybe the girl/guy who posted this actually believes this kind of stuff and is just as sad about Toby Keith's death as you and this is how they're coping with the idea of him being dead or they're actually just disconnected conspiracy theorists like I previously mentioned? This channel has plenty of views, subscribers and engagement without without the Toby Keith video. Almost all their videos perform really well, they didn't have to choose Toby for a video but they did so I would assume it's something they care about. People look at things differently so how is it fair to say this guy doesn't care about Toby and exploiting him with this video? Especially going off what you and Mike said about the person who posted this and how it made you feel, if that's the case then and say he is actually is harshly and unfairly judging Toby Keith without knowing the full story or about Toby Keith, basically judging too quickly and without proper information then you guys are pretty much doing the same thing assuming this persons video is nefarious in anyway and that it was on purpose. Basically you're saying this person is judging a book by their cover and unfairly at that. How do we know that though? We don't. So basically you guys are doing the same thing. You feel me?
A rebound effect is common in terminal patients. Can happen days or even hours before death. They feel like they r on top of life. Feeling good and ready to get to work. For us nurses we know what it means. Although there r rare occasions where someone will live another month or so. Toby was sick and he knew it. He just didn’t want his issue to be what people focused on. He was a good man.
@@TheFarmallfarmerLOL. I lost my mind when one of the kids came home from school one day back in 2007. She was passing English, but her Grammer and handwriting were terrible!! When I asked the teacher about it she seemed to feel I was being unreasonable. Today many young ppl can't write or read cursive, and can't spell. Also because computers take care of making change, their math skills will soon be sh*t.
He had the best doctors in the world, they couldn't save him. He knew he was going to die very soon. He wanted to be on stage again and he wanted to go out his way and on his own terms!!!!!!!
RlP Cowboy 💕🙏💕 An amazing singer, songwriter and human! A true American patriot and troubadour! You are missed buddy!!! God bless your family and friends!
It's an energy that I've seen many a time before. I want to watch people that couldn't walk for weeks jump right out of bed and off they go if only for a short distance. This is the happiest I could imagine that they felt in a long long time. It's usually extremely short-lived but it's absolutely beautiful moments
Last November, I went to the lab to have blood work done, and sat there for a good 15 minutes on my phone before I realized him and his wife were across from me. I was kinda surprised he was home getting medical work done, I assumed he was somewhere getting top notch care. But, when I was in the car, it hit me that he was home because there was probably nothing else, but to be with family and friends at home. May he rest in peace 🕊️
Work as a nurse and we call it "surge of life". Usually a day or so before they pass they suddenly act like their old self. A surge of energy and vibrance.
@annas4807 as someone who lost his dad to cancer I can confirm this happens they told him there was nothing else they could do he had one day of feel good went to bed never woke up
I can't believe he was called home at such a young age. I've been listening to Toby Keith since I was a child and I'm 32 now. Remember his first song wish i was a cowboy, so many more great song's. I grew up listening to him and all the older 90's country music singer's. Toby Keith helped me and so many other's through hard and great time's in our lives by his music 🎶. He will truly be missed by so many ppl. ❤😢❤
This still hits me with surprise.... They always get better before passing... God bless you Toby Keith. No more fighting. You won, my friend ❤️ prayers to his family and friends...
What a great man, he lived a life we all dream of , Cancer Sucks and it doesn't discriminate, be kind to everyone and always tell your people how much you love them and appreciate them, they might not be here tomorrow
Yes. I believe he knew & simply wanted to leave us with one last concert to remember him by. Really just enough time to say goodbye if you were listening to his interviews. With the almighty riding shotgun, he was in a good place & had wrapped his head around it Either way he was accepting his fate. What a strong & brave man to face the invetible & to leave us one final performance. RIP YOU fought the battle.
Jesus Christ Is Lord Welcome Home Brother , I am on Amphetamines & narcotics a lot , when I go it will be quick & I Just want to say I love you before go .
I love you too. I believe in recovery. I'm in the middle of a battle with alcoholism. Let's try? If Jesus is Lord. Let's act like it@@isabellalive2.081
I will always miss out on him. He was such a true American patriot and God fearing man. I got into Country music when I was 17-18 years old. I would've loved to seen him in concert. I'll say it again RIP Toby.
My experience has been so blessed,I am dealing with cancer and have no regrets I only hope my children see me as a hero, not a victim. I learned that from the respect I watched Toby honor America's armed forces since I am a veteran of a conflict in the jungles of Vietnam I only wish we had guys like Toby back then.
He had a one of a kind voice, that’s for sure. Up there with George Strait, Alan Jackson, etc. Those kinds of legendary voices come around very seldom, but when you hear them, you know it. God bless Toby. What a wonderful entertainer, singer and man.
I Love Toby! He is a Freaking warrior - yall know he was on stage in Kandahar to entertain the troops - they came under mortar fire and wouldnt leave the stage - i heard that from a veteran that was there that day - we lost a Real one!
He knew death was coming. He stated that after 2 years of the battle he stopped treatment. He was tired and embraced fate. He lived a good life and was a good man. He was ready to be healed and soar within the light. ❤
I worked on his house a few months before his passing. His wife and her sister were lovely hosts. Brought us lemonade and water. I took a few bricks with me after we finished replacing them. That property was a beauty to behold! Rest in Peace Toby.
@@josephbeach6046 fake story? Real job? Company is called Spurlock Masonry. His house is located on Franklin and 60th. I’m a mason, what do you do for a living? Are you a🤡 you seem to like to make jokes 🤡
Trust me, he knew when you have stomach cancer you know trust me! When the energy is falling out of you, because of your stomach is containing too much bacteria and can’t release it it is the worst feeling in this life that nobody understands constipation is just one part of it. I’m so glad he made it as far as he did, and we got to see the last of his smile. He knew what was going on. The doctors were talking to him a lot. I’m one of the lucky ones my tumor was 2 1/2 feet and I got one of the best doctors.
We all die. Toby knew that. Of course he did. Many rally just before passing. I have always looked at it as a gift from our Lord. Toby knew how to be grateful and use it for those he loves. I am going to miss him in this world.
I burst into tears even hearing the intro to Courtesy of the Red White and Blue. "When you hear Mother Freedom start ringin' her bell" was such a great line. RIP, brothah. Thanks for the tears.
I felt the same way about Toby. I loved him from the first time I heard him. Toby had accepted he was going to die. I mean look at him. There seems to be a thing about people who are dying where they perk up a few days or hours before they die. I believe Toby was experiencing that. I know it broke my heart when I found out about his diagnosis. He was such a wonderful entertainer and musician. And greatly loved by many RIP Toby❤
@@sglenn704 that perking up has a name but i can’t remember it. My daughter is a hospice nurse. I cared for my parents until the end. It’s so hard seeing the people you love more than anything fade away right in front of you and you can’t do anything about it
@@MichelleJ1822 I just watched my fiancee die 5 months ago. I just thought he had a touch of the flu. He got a little sick and was dead in 4 days. He was checked by the paramedics 3 days before and all his vitals were great. I'm totally puzzled.
Got to do a show with him back in 94 i think it was . I was one of 2 opening acts. He didn't know me at all , but treated me so nicely. He was a big guy. Great talent. John Daniel Coe.
When cancer patients are about to pass, days before they seem to get a burst of energy along with hallucinations for some. I have always thought of this as a gift from God to ease any fear of crossing over 😊 R.I.H. MR. TOBY KEITH ❤
The sudden boost of energy and feeling better than he had in a long time; actually is a sign that he could be passing away very soon. This phenomenon happens more than you’d think with hospice patients. Some have experienced this boost of energy and happiness for one day and (more rarely)some have lived 3 or more days before passing.
This is a normal thing that happens with cancer patients and a lot of other ailments. During your final weeks or months you will get a rebound syndrome. Your body will literally start to feel better your movement will increase energy will be better. It is short-lived though it's almost like God gives us one last hoorah. This man was a legend and we will all miss him very much.
Not always true. My dad lived 6 months with an inoperable brain tumor. He was downhill the entire time. Going to chemo and radiation he broke his back in the parking lot after his appointment. He went straight to hospice care at home after that. Decadron is the steroid they give to cancer patients. It makes the bones brittle.
I wish that happened with my grandpa - last time seeing him he was so weak and frail, could barely speak.. 9 months battle with pancreatic cancer.. doctors gave him 5/10 years - I wish.
So is that what happened with WWE star Bray Wyatt was that how he was able to pass everything and was about to return right before he died I didn't know this was a thing
We saw Toby in concert once in Memphis during his SHOCK N Y'ALL tour. I still get goosebumps remembering the songs and energy that night. A great American.. Toby will be missed forever!!🇺🇲🇺🇲
I think he knew and he accepted whatever it may be. I was amazed really that he got up there and sang, when he looked so thin. He was energized to give his last performance and include family and friends. Reminded me when my sister was in hospice with cancer and family and friends were coming and going, she wanted up out of the bed to the chair to socialize with her family and friends. She was energized and gone the next day. Brings tears to my eyes remembering that day. It's like God gives that day to say goodbye! RIP Toby Keith, I know you are singing in Heaven with the Angels.
The man knew. Every good man tells the lie that he’s doing just fine to those he knows he’s gonna leave behind. He might have sang that he SHOULD have been a cowboy, but he went out like a real one. Mad respect.
He knew it was close. He had even told friends that he was tired. You can sometimes tell when they are just worn out and the cancer is slowly beating them. He was a damn good man and he tried everything to get back to health but the surgery alone was a tough row to hoe and he then had chemo and radiation. He was a fighter but even the strongest know there is a point when you need to rest. His strong faith in The Lord helped him come to terms and the strength he and his family showed all through life was and is very inspiring. My mom passed from colon cancer in 2015 and just like TK, there was the moment that was just too much. God bless Toby and his entire family…🇺🇸❤
When battling cancer, the patient often feels more like their old self with vitality toward the end of their experience. His body knew his end was coming. Rest with peace, Toby. Your battle was won before it began, and your Savior has been with you through your war. Your peace is with you now, brother. ❤️
I recognized that"look of death" about him during his final performance. I watched my fiancee suffer with cancer and Toby looked just like my sweet Jason did before he passed away. Such a bright light taken from us all way too soon. Rest easy Toby!
He knew, we all know when our time is near. We don’t always acknowledge it, but we know. He’s a warrior for the Lord Jesus and continues to be besides the most High. God bless and keep him, his family, friends, loved ones, and fans.
Cancer is a disgusting disease it's horrible for the lack of a better word if you don't know someone that died of cancer you will soon thanks for all the great music Toby fly with the angels
My mother's words always burns in my soul. LIFE IS LIKE A LIGHT BULB , IT ALWAYS BURNS THE BRIGHTEST BEFORE IT BURNS OUT. Bless you and i got your greatest hits five years ago before my light bulb burned his brightest and burned out. RIP cowboy may you always sit high in the saddle and remain riding into the sunset😢❤❤
Even though it’s been 4 months since Toby’s passing still to this day I have a hard time excepting him being gone. No more songs to write, no more songs to sing but thank you Toby for leaving us with the greatest songs that will last my life time. ♥️💔🥰🥰😘🙏
I know nothing of Keith, but what I'll say is for what it's worth, such a knockout last show is a privilege rarely granted to great musicians. Being on a wave of optimism and satisfaction of the events isn't a bad way to end a career, though of course tragically too soon.
My husband had cancer and a week before he passed away. He had what is called a power surge where he got up with no issues and walk perfectly. It was then that I knew his time was limited. I honestly feel that Toby Keith could also feel this change within his body. There is a video that he did after he had notified everybody in this family that I found on RU-vid which he actually talks about his end is near. My thoughts and prayers goes out to his wife.
i was sitting in class when a kid brought it up. i didn’t know yet and i kid you not i started crying right there is class. i was raise on 90s country and toby was a big one to me
Rest in peace, my amazing country artist. Sing yo the angels now. I can't wait to go to Bridgestone and see your tribute. I know there will ne smiles, laughs and lots if tears. Love you big guy. You was one of a kind. God broke the mold when he made you. Kathey Gillum
It’s called a surge. It happens when people are dying. There’s several examples out there in television where you can see them talk about this the one I can think of is when you watch Grey’s Anatomy they talk about the surge how people get this sudden burst of energy in their talking, and it’s like they’ve never been sick a day in their life, and it happens right before they die, it’s to be God giving them a moment to finish up whatever they needed to do. And Toby Keith gave it to us the fans.
Yep, a lot of people that I knew that died of cancer, my step dad included had it. I'm guessing I was at work when my step dad had it lol because I don't remember being there when it happened but my mom told me about it after he had passed.
@@MichelleJ1822 I have heard of lots of people when they were dying see loved ones that had passed closer to the time that they're getting ready to pass. My mom had a close call to death when she was younger and claims to have seen quite a few relatives throughout her life at difficult or happy times that had passed before her. supposedly the Bible says there's no such thing as ghosts or spirits that will show up so IDK. My sisters Church believes that it's the devil that does that to deceive people. But I don't understand that either because why would he give people comfort? It don't make no sense to me.
My grandpa was on hospice at 82 year of age in 2016. He was septic and just had a quadruple bypass, kidney stones, and a diabetic. He was doing great one weekend and nurse said end is near he is surging or something like that. Months later he was fishing out back and went back on hospice care in 2020 after pneumonia. They kept saying any day, he reached a 6 month max.. Today, he is almost 90, alive and pretty much all there. Lives at home with my granny who is mid 80’s. I guess even the experts never know when it’s time.
He was in the acceptance stage of pending death. Most all patients I’ve cared for do a big rally of strength and attitude which if family is not prepared for gives false hope. He gave it his all for this performance! 💔🙏🏻
I agree. They call it "The end of life phenomena. My sister did the same thing 2 days before she passed away. I didn't know anything about it so of course I got my hopes up that she was getting better and The Lord was healing her. I was heartbroken when she passed away. All my immediate family that I had any relationship with has passed away 💔
@@amyrose5111 I’m so sorry no one told you about this. That’s heartbreaking. Usually 24-48 hours after the rally was our standard average to look for. I never lied to a patients family and many asked to be notified if they had gone home to rest. We had pamphlets to hand out and I always strongly advised them to read them. It showed the different stages. I too have lost literally all family on both sides. I do have an amazing husband I am so grateful for. Take care honey.
