I used to listen to this 24/7 when I was a kid and forgot about it until now. TOBY MAAAAC!!! Here to rep the most high with this one, I love that line!!
Christianity is not about condemnation. In fact, these are the people that needs to be loved, because of the rejection they have received. In fact, Jesus said in the Bible, "it is not the well that He has come for but the sick" (paraphrased). What Jesus was offering right from the start is a solution. A solution on how to overcome the oppression that the devil has inflicted. By his sacrifice on the cross, anyone could now overcome any oppression that the devil has caused upon them. God bless.
Grew up my whole life in Church, and listening to all kinds of Gospel and Praise/Worship music. When I was a teenager we used to have lockin's and summer camps. (this was in the mid 90's) All of us kids to were listening to DC Talk. They were one of the "coolest" Chirstian groups around at the time. It just so happens Toby Mac was the lead in the group. And Im so glad to see he is still doing his thing, and showing all the world that we can still praise the lord in any form or style music!
dude u are down right wrong, boomin= we should spread the word of Jesus. Lose my soul= dont b consumed by objects and not pay enough attention to God and Jesus, city on our knees = sinners and saints coming together to stand in the glory of God, these are just a few of toby's wonderful messages that he as deliverd to us by song.
"BOOMIN' out the stereo system" here on a Saturday night! 💓🙏 Thank You Jesus for introducing me to this music....thank You Jesus for loving me! & Jesus, Bless TobyMac & family, Amen!
For those who are wondering what the lyrics to the rap stanza at 2:42 are, here they are. Boom shakalaka, I got 'em poppin' and lockin' And lockin' and poppin', I'm thinkin' they stoppin' bout to say somethin' Let me check the technique I speak life and riddle with a flow that's unique They mic every word that I utter So tasty, tantalizing, make room for stutter Here we go, check out the scenario in the flow Got 'em bangin', boomin' out the stereo!
Thanks. What is the name of the person rapping that? Ain't it funny how some words aren't as clear until someone writes it out and then you're like, "well, that's obvious, why didn't I catch that before?" 🤣
You need help and prayer meanie, you dont have to listen if you dont like it, but it does sound like you may be under conviction God does love you even if you dont love Him and He will walk with you until the last step takes you to heaven or hell, your choice. God bless, be assured many who read your post went to the Lord in prayer for you. I pray that one day you see how much God loves you and that He is waiting for you to love Him back in all your filth just as you are!
I love this video and I especially love this song! Toby was one of the first Christian artists I ever really listened to! He is one person I would like to see live before I die. :)
Everyone is like, "I prefer the old sound," or, "I like the new stuff," but honestly I find the way an artist changes to be one of the most interesting things. People grow and change and learn, all of that is reflected in their music. You have the right to choose your favorite sound and album but please don't knock their growth.
Why do people have a problem with TobyMac's music being in the christian music genre?? This music has pulled my family and I closer to God, I'm sure He wouldn't argue with that... so why are you???
if people would just give christian music a chance many people would find God or become stronger in their faith. people just judge a book by its cover, but if people heard songs like these it would be a better world.
why are you even listening to this song if you dont like it. its a christian song. to praise God. it has a good message and if you would listen to the lyrics maybe you would think differently.
I simply cannot believe all the hate I see in these comments. Toby rocks. It doesn't matter how old he is. He praises Jesus when he clearly could have gone into another genre of music if he wanted. There. It's settled. Let Jesus be glorified in this music. There's no reason for hate.
Saundra Waller Scan the comment section and see for yourself how many people are praising, worshipping and glorifying Toby Mac and his music/song. There is rarely any praise or glory to God, which is very wrong.
I first heard one of Toby Mac's song on Never Back Down and ever since, I liked his songs. I love the message he is sending to the young and old. I totally support him.
Plugged In To Jesus...Commuting to a job site, five wide and scoot`en. this was in my mix CD... Over loaded me on my way through Livermore CA, was enveloped in the spirit, a billion times any first moment and the love that is grace filled me, a rush of Love. PTL Love JRock
Forgive me Jesus for i know not what i do, save me from myself and keep my eyes on you, I repent my sins and follow your way, so that you may know me come judgement day. if you are ready then leave a way for those who need to find the path.
for every person on here thats tryin to mess around with us Jesus Freaks, we've been told we would be persecuted in our life for believing in The Word of Jesus. So step aside we love you whether your for us or hate us. But go ahead, its your right to comment and say whatever you want. So its all good.
I think its great if your not a christian and listening to this, but the fact is he is a christian singer, singing christian music with a message given to him from God. And I dont have a missionary agenda, Im just a Christian talking about Christ.
The most terrifying thing in the world is that... God is good, you may think to yourself that is not terrifying at all, well the thing is we are not good, we are evil sinners, our hearts are filled with darkness, we have broken the 10 commandments which is God's law by lying, stealing etc..so what does a good, Holy and Just God do with evil sinners like us? well He must punish us, just as a judge must punish a criminal, the judge must give him justice, so the just punishment is death then hell, but 2,000 years ago God the Son came to earth as a man in Jesus Christ to die on the cross in our place and on the third day He rose from the dead, it is like this we broke God's law Jesus paid our fine because He loves us,so repent of your sin and believe in Jesus today for your eternal salvation.
I had never heard of Tobymac until Winter Fest in March of 2009. They are incredible live and it was awesome how they interacted with the crowd. I hope and pray more youth become inspired by their music. Tobymac's performance was definitely the best I've ever seen.
Great song, haha i never heard it until yesterday. I like Christian music so much better than other songs because it's just so much more positive. No politics, no hatred, no problems; Christian music is about helping others and counting your blessings, and that's it.
