Man you're a hero for completing that shit lmao, the most broken challenge I've ever seen on a racing game by a long shot. Beating "modern" F1 cars with an old one is already silly enough, but they had to make it worse by giving you the worst handling car in the game and making you race this stupid AI.Not many people completed this challenge I'm sure.

It's an incredibly unfair championship, especially with the car choice and trying to keep up with the FW27's with varying success. The multiple attempts were the usual case of having my suspension and wheels ripped off at turn one on too many occasions. I think this is the devs idea of a practical joke, and it's certainly not a funny one, either. But! It's done! I can now forget about this game for a few months before we take on the Pro Career... yaaaaaaaaay!

@@leopaulevans7573 It is horrendous. It's zero match for the modern machines. I just got incredibly lucky the game is inconsistent with the AI pacing in the latter half of the season

This TAKES ME BACK! If only i had a copy of this. My current skills, with the older games. Such nostalgia, such redemption. We were too young to ACTUALLY do good races back in the day. 😎👑

I find the older I get the crappier I become! (Nothing new there!) TRD3 is really cheap on eBay, my copy only cost me a couple of quid, both the PC and console versions :D

Watched all this last night. Always enjoy your complained but to be serious for a minute great job to win the championship. Not sure if the game would always twist itself so you'd win or not but great driving without a racing line.

It's a very confusing, bullshit championship. None of it makes sense - I can't stress enough with how bollocks the final series is with the car choice and the fast-slow-fast-slow AI. That's why it took me so long to get the championship recorded. Some attempts the AI would just rear end me at turn one, rip my wheels off and I'd just need to restart. And, of course, the AI drivers don't get the damage severity unlike the player, so they continue down the road without a care in the world, whilst you're sat in the middle of the track watching your wheels roll by. Oulton Park was the worst, I think I was in the 20s in attempts. I'm just glad I finally finished it. The Pro Career mode is a lot more player-friendly but, can still screw you over at times

Hi Danny, it was an intense Championship with many difficulties overcome. I thought that after Zanvoort you were going to stay in the top 5, but you made a fantastic comeback. It's been a really great Championship, a really good time.

I was exceptionally confused with how slow the AI seemed to be as the championship progressed. The inconsistencies of this game never cease to amaze me! At least now I can put my feet up and take a nice, long break from the game :D Merci beaucoup, monsieur!

Well done, this is the part that made me rage quit the game back in 06--07. The handling is just so unpredictable in the car you're forced to use

It was a nightmare! The amount of times I needed to restart these stupid races from the AI wiping me out non-stop, my voice was so hoarse after recording for over 4 hours. The AI were so unpredictable, one race they were uncatchable and the next, slow as balls. Really dumb. But at least it's done and dusted, and I'll work on the pro career later in the year!

Man! I remember completing this game on the OG Xbox. The only difference is they make you drive the 80's Williams instead of the 90's Williams. So I had to be clever with set up and strategy to complete the championship.

I never played with the setups on any of the championships, except changing the last gear to be slightly longer on flat-out circuits. Problem is, the AI are so unpredictable, playing with setups seems superfluous. They either whoop yer arse and are nigh on uncatchable, or, they're slow as balls. There's never a perfect balance on this game. I've not tried the console version but I assume it's very similar

It very nearly isn't. Luckily the AI are so inconsistent, at times they're incredibly slow, while others they're just impossible to catch. Restarting the races gives you different RNG values, so you just need to be lucky. This championship took me way too long to get past

Now seriusly, amazing series, was pain to see your pain, amazing hoe you beat the driver 1 final mission equivalent to legal racing game. Rest because there left the pro series that gona be definitive more pain Pd: amazing how your mechanics manage to repair a totaled car Pd2: im waiting for TDR4, where in the end you race to 2 and 3 protragonist and win, but in the end you have to beat scott becoming the final boss, after the battle, scott say sorry to you and become drunk friends a kick Ryan Ass. END

Haha it definitely did feel like 32 years, let me tell you! The Pro career will take, I'm going to say at least 250+ episodes. Possibly 300+. It's going to be a long ride. But I'm taking a well-earned break from it for now, to focus on the other stuff and then I can get on with some GRID as well, to follow on the Race Driver franchise :D

Like you create a character and tell a story about his origins. This gona be like f1 carreer mode videos but intead of just f1, you have a lot of categorys.

Dan just used 00000000.1 percent of his power to win the championship against the faster Williams cars. Reminds me of how Pastor Maldonado won against a ferrari and redbull. Absolutely amazing driving! Heres another (possibly terrible) joke! Who was The Annoying Orange's favorite F1 driver? PASTA MALDONADO

This championship was horrendous and frustrating in equal measure. Took me roughly 4 hours to get through the championship with the AI constantly slamming into me and ripping my wheels off at every round, and mix that with the inconsistencies with the slow/fast nature of the CPU, it was just incredibly irritating. I can honestly say this championship was zero fun to finish. Glad it's done now, though! Also I've never watched the Annoying Orange, thank christ, but I always thought it was fond of Gerhard Burger :P

@@Dan-Bartlett Yea I feel u. Srry you had to endure the intense difficulty of the last championship. I experienced the exact same thing (not this game btw) And I never gave up after hours or maybe days of trying. (Reason I didn't use Gerhard Burger Is because I thought it was old and overused so I used Pasta Maldonado)

Hi, Dan. First of all, congratulations for completing this championship, massive respect. Which Toca Race Driver game do you consider best out of the three and why? I'm thinking about picking up maybe 2 and 3 for PC soon. Mostly for DTM and V8 Supercars. Thankfully most Polish releases don't have Starforce DRM in them.

Thank you kindly, sir! That's a tough one. Personally, I would say for an all-round balanced game TRD2 would be your best bet, although the content in that game does lack quite a fair bit. TRD3 is a fantastic game, but there are a lot of inconsistencies, especially when it comes to the AI and the 'sim handling' which is buggy as all hell. But looking past that, the game has so much content, that completing the world tour doesn't scratch the surface. So they both have their pros and cons. I would say, if you can find them cheap, grab them both :D

@@Dan-Bartlett Thank you, sir, I appreciate it very much. I'll be getting both games. It's a little bit like Colin 04 and 2005. Colin 04 is great in my opinion, but 2005 has much bigger car list, however the physics are way worse and there are weird things like invisible walls or jumps in Finland that sway you to the side. They should've just made 2005 with 04 physics, but I like both games for different things.

@@piotrgti96 Codemasters always have a habit of doing that. They nailed the physics on ToCA 2 over the first game, but they were then too floaty on TWTC and correcting slides was near impossible. CMR 3 has similar floaty controls, from what I remember, so probably used a similar physics engine
