@@midnightmusic936 Well, the reason why it sounds "cluttered" is the use of heavy stop combinations in the main keyboard (presumably the so-called Great). It is not usual for example to have bass reeds (sounds like a Bassoon 16' here) in the keyboard in any part of this toccata and fugue, except perhaps in the introductory narration. Moreover, it looks like that the stop combination of the Great is often full, comprising principals, flutes, mixtures, mutations and trumpets, going perhaps down to Bourdon 16' which adds to the feeling of confusion. This is also the reason why it must be played more slowly, otherwise it will become a sound mess difficult to discern with such a stop choice. Nevertheless, this is a very nice interpretation with varied stop combinations across the keyboards and the pedal division; a pleasant surprise for me. But you did not say which organ is that, nor which organist.
