After my recent solo recital, I was reminded how much I love J.S. Bach’s original works, and this piece kept playing in my head. It is a glorious piece that I can feel all of my emotions. I can feel solemnity, sadness, happiness, joy, strictness, and gentleness etc… It is still a work in progress, but this piece is one of my favorite pieces of piano literature.
I am hoping to get better at this in the next couple of months, so I might be posting newer versions from time to time on RU-vid. Although this piece is not particularly religious, I cannot help thinking about God’s power, our strife, joy, and beauty in heaven.
