S. Might not need to be a top guy remaining, but get 1 more guy for the rotation. It's a long season, guys get hurt or are ineffective. And I'd personally like to see Hutch play a few less snaps so he can get some rest during games and for his longevity.
I'd say around 10-12. I think they are top 5 against the run, and around 15 for pass rush. This could improve with solid play from the retooled secondary.
I was also thinking around 10th, but we don't know about Davenport, and if we don't get any production, they will be chipping hutch following w a double team, and we need to do something about that
Did you watch a game last season at all ? We had the #2 run defense in the LEAGUE. The LINE wasnt the problem, the SECONDARY getting torched over and over and over was the PROBLEM.
@@PatriotWatchUSA WE HAD THE #2 RUN DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE. PASS RUSH AND PASS COVERAGE WAS THE PROBLEM. Mostly, because we didn't HAVE "The Problem"....or Mosely, or CJGJ.
Isn't DJ Reader injured? I thought he has a torn quad... he had this before and it took a long time to get back... I'm not sure that we can count on him right away
I think pretty unquestionably they have a top 3 interior defensive line, and honestly the McNeill and Reader duo I wouldn't trade for any other duo. Hutch is great, and the talent they brought in for that other edge I believe will stir enough competition to where it will raise the level of play of everyone. Last year mediocrity allowed players to stay on the field for that position, I don't think that's the case anymore.
