With her behavior here I don't think that it would be a huge problem. Her personality seems quite friendly. Just be aware that she might have some quirks. One of the labs my parents have is quite specific about what she considers to be a NORMAL person, and it's an adult and not in a wheelchair. She's quite suspicious about anyone not fulfilling her definition of NORMAL. Not that she's getting aggressive, just that she's considering it outside the definition of normal and is a bit careful.
I'm sorry her _PELVIS_ was broken?? That is an absolutely devastating injury for _any_ animal (including humans), but especially for large breed dogs like Gilly. I really hope she's healing well and it doesn't cause any future problems in the long run 💖
It is a devastating injury for any species with a pelvis. I mean it won't bother snakes and fish but anything with legs (and not the vestigial remnants thereof) will be in absolute agony.
That girl for having never been groomed is the epitome of good temperament. Someone got a gem! Love how she reaches out with her front paws. 'hey, you."
Same here! 🐱 I feel like one can't be a true cat or dog person without being an animal lover in general. I love all animals, but if I can only choose one, it's always gonna be a kitty : )
Every time you tell her "it's OK," I find myself saying, "shhh, you're alright" which is what I used to say to my animals. I guess it's contagious. Thank you for being so compassionate to the animals which need it most. They all seem to end up loving you.
Gilly's a sweet fluffy pup. She did well for her 1st spa session. Poor fur baby, it broke my heart hearing a pelvis was broken. I don't like seeing animals suffer.
She's not listed on the Niagara ASPCA link [edit: the one listed in the video's information, since my comment seemed to confuse a lot of people] , so I hope that means she's already in the heart of a warm loving home!!!
She's going to love life somewhere around Niagara! Can't you imagine her walking around the vineyards and loping over hills! I'm glad she finally got clean and can meet potential fosters and adopters! Shes going to be the love of someones life!
She did so well! It is obvious that she was totally out of her element but she handled it with dignity (mostly. lol). Thank you for giving these dogs a better chance to find a home.
If I didn’t live in California (and have a dog who is dog phobic) I Would take her in a minute. I have had many rescue dogs in my life, and my only requirement was that they all have lots of coat. Chows, corgi/chow, elkhound, keeshond, terrier mixes… I’ve had them all in 50 years of Dog parenting.
I'm in Arizona I would also take her in a minute. I'm on my last rescue dog Millie Pie she is 11 and lonely since my other 2 big dogs passed away from old age. (16 & 14) I hope someone gives her a loving and forever home.
I am from Louisiana . Gilly looks the same color of the Spanish Moss that grows on the trees around the bayou ....She is a beautiful dog ...You made her look even better ....
Wow she did so good for her first groom. I think she knew that you would be gentle with her and encourage her a lot. I also have a feeling she will be adopted quickly. He demeanor is good and after a few grooms, I think she will be very comfortable getting it done, especially if the groomer is as good as you are.
She's not a Muppet, She's a moppet!! So cute! Sweet girl. Breaking you pelvic is no picnic for human or animal! My daughter was hit by a car while crossing the street and her pelvic was broken in two places!!! Recovery takes awhile and people know when to rest and ask for help, animals not so much.
I would absolutely love it if her owners saw this video and she was reunited. She's clearly been lost. It's very rare that an expensive pedigree is just abandoned.
A beautiful transformation! The wolfhound is strong in her. 😄 I love the way the little wispy hairs on her back blew around with the stir of the air as you were brushing after her dry. Here's hoping she's already adopted.
I love that you give dogs needing adoption grooms, being showcased on a platform like yours I’m sure helps so much with finding a home for the animal. What you do is so amazing ❤
Wow what a BEAUTIFUL BABY. I'm so sorry you had to go thru getting hurt. I know you are going to find a great home that will LOVE YOU and you will LIVE OUT YOUR BEST LIFE... Sending lots of LOVE to you baby girl..
I have seen many groomers on RU-vid and I must confess you are the best groomer ,ever !!! I wish I could adopt this beauty, unfortunately, I live on the island of Cyprus so ,that is ot possible !!! Thank you so very much for being so good to all the dogs that you groom !!! God bless you my friend !°
@@danielleking262 look up Norman the Briard. He could wipe his beard, wipe his paws when he came inside the house, ride a scooter and even pedal a bike!
I’ve had two Irish Wolfhounds, without a doubt my favourite breed. The second was a rescue from HBSPCA, she was a wonderful dog. They’re little goofy dog in a big body.
What a beauty! Gilly, If I were in the area, I would love to have you in my home! you are beautiful! I am sorry her pelvis was broken, and I hope she has the best home and she has a great life!
Gilly is beautiful and sweet. I hope that she has found a wonderful forever home where she will be safe and loved and pampered !!! Please give us an update Vanessa !!!
I think Gilly is a keeper, she was nervous but soft the whole time, I saw no snarl or lifting of lip which is so nice to see in a pup. You help so many, I wish I were closer. She is my kind of pup.
I think the Bouvier does Flanders body is thicker and more muscular than Gilly, even knowing she is on the thin side. I think the shape of Gilly’s face and skull look different from the Bouvier, too.
Awe what a gorgeous sweetheart! I so wish I could take her, but I do not have the means or funds to care for her, I hope she gets the sweetest and gentle family which can walk her through her fears slowly. Poor sweet girl, she deserves to be pampered the rest of her life
Lovely lass Gilly, how awful she had an accident and her pelvis was fractured. She has a beautiful 'rough' coat, gorgeous colour too. She coped so well , considering the whole grooming experience ,was something that had never happened to her before. Lovely girl , hope she gets her adopted family soon x
My inlaws have a very similar breed. Irish wolf hound poodle and pug mix. We don't know when the pug was mixed in but we can tell when she snores 😂 She's a very sweet girl and treated like a princess in her home.
May God bless you a million fold for your compassion, patience and love you show all these creatures! YOU make such a a difference in this angels' lives!!! THANK YOU !!!!
Such a beautiful new coat; I just love that salt & pepper color. So glad she's on the mend. Looks like she will make a great buddy for someone. Thanks for posting and thanks for doing what you do so well. Zk
She's ADORABLE!!!! You ALWAYS do such a GREAT JOB on these dogs!!!! When you spoke about not knowing this dog, I thought - "I wonder when she started out, did she ever get BIT"?! And yes, her FACIAL HAIR GOT ON MY LAST NERVE!!!! SOOOOOO GLAD you took care of that!!!! Thanks for another WONDERFUL VIDEO!!!!
Gilly looks like an absolute sweetheart. I'm no groomer but i thought she did really well. We have no idea how traumatic this could be for a dog. To be injured and left and then put into a cage to heal would make any dog nervous. Hope she IS adopted by the time this shows. Good luck Gilly❤❤❤ She actually reminded me of the dog, TRAMP, on My Three Sons 😊😊
