With Penn & Teller, even the easiest of tricks (easiest in terms of magicians) is not about the trick, but the presentation of it. Every magician can set up a trick so you pick the card they want you to pick from the deck... But only Penn Teller put on a performance like this.
I love seeing Penn and teller with David Copperfield it's great having some magicians can get along real well and how they joke with each other and they take it in stride I hope that they'll continue to do more together good luck Penn and Teller and David Copperfield I wish you all the best take care of my friends
it's mainly for misdirection, but: "it began as a joke with his mother. When he was 18 years old, his mother advised him to keep his hands looking nice, since he was then working as a magician and his audience would be looking at his hands. Jillette colored the single nail red and showed it to his mother. He has continued to paint that single nail to the present."
@@20catsRPG I'm not sure what you mean. You can literally see him move the card on the top of the deck to the top of the bottom part of the deck in the close up shot when you slow it down, which is how he makes sure that the "chosen" card is the three of clubs.
Looks like he loves the 3 of clubs. I used a VHS tape for that same card in the early-90's (for those who don't know look up their PBS special from the 80's).
One of the greatest tricks a magician has is making the audience think that they have a choice in the cards that they choose. They really don't. A good magician can control the deck however he pleases.
I mean should he be? This is as simple of a trick as it can be. You force a card. You reveal that forced card. Dude makes tricks that no one else in the world has any idea of how they work. and you expect him to be impressed by a magic trick, even amateur magicians can pull off?
Penn and teller did a saturday night live decades ago where they explain this trick, also they say that its good for making people look like jerks. hahaha.
Jewish Christian David Seth Kotkin Copperfield illusionist is really enjoying this he knows penn and teller and he's trying his best not to laugh cause he knows what's next in the routine hehehehe lol cool :)
A surprisingly bad force on Penn's part, given how good he usually is with cards. Then again, the camera doesn't usually get that close during a riffle force. That said, I think Teller had the best role, spending 97% of the interview nestled with his head on her thigh. lol
Teller always pick the three of clubs for his card trick and I think he loves this card alot, beside that Penn loves 4 of hearts absolutely ( just look the ring finger of his left hand, it always red )
I am happy I never seen this until now..I have seen them do this trick a few times..and it's always great..but this, this was just bad. Did they not like the show or something, and Penn and teller don't do bad.
There's a ton of comments saying they didn't have a choice in the card, but they did, watch closely at 3:15-3:17 you can see penn throwing the card in his other hand, one of the time teller grabbed the girl to cuddle he slipped him the card....
It's just forced... it doesn't matter when the person says stop... he will always stop on that card, you go fast through the cards so it's not noticeable that you forced it, that's why in this case he didn't ask if he wanted another card
