A young woman finds her old diaries while moving out of her childhood bedroom and makes peace with herself.
This film is deeply personal and based on my real diary entries and events in my life. I was a very lonely person, and always felt like I was never the one others wanted to be with, romantically or platonically. I never felt good enough, understood, or close with anyone.
I went through some very difficult events that are hard to look back on; I don't want to open that book again, I don't want to think about it. But making this film was a way of making peace with that, I suppose. I don't want to avoid myself. Instead, I'm beginning to look back and feel tenderness for myself. I am growing every day and I feel okay with who I am.
I will continue living one day at a time, taking things as they come, and hopefully changing and growing even more. I also hope that my film can resonate with many people. Every time someone told me they could relate to it, it really meant so much to me. I hope we can all feel a little less alone.
