The Cowboys run defense has had issues for years now, so let's not pretend as if Dan Quinn had just one bad game.

Blame whoever you want for the post season failures...bottom line is our players arent hungry and have no leadership...the 90s teams wanted to take the other teams soul and hit someone and take the game away from the other team sadly we are not disciplined or hungry enough and lacking leadership big time

These guys are treated like gods when drafted here. The best of everything the facilities are second to none. There’s no hunger because the mindset once they get here is that they’ve arrived!! I’m a Dallas Cowboy!! What a Super Bowl?? lol I’ve already made it.

Dak looked shell shocked Sunday. A big moment playoff QB does not fold like he did. I like a lot of things about Dak but we have seen 8 years. It's enough. KC moved on from Alex Smith for Mahomes. You have to try something different. Yeah you may lose more than you win immediately but that's all the cowboys do lose when it matters.

The Defense sucked, but I can't get past Daks repeated "deer in headlights" look and history of sucking in big games. I'd keep McCarthy and get rid of Dak and Quinn (he's probably already gone) Do what you gotta do with Dak (let him finish out his last year or whatever)but any further financial commitments to him is foolish and will set this team back another decade. Time to move on. Possibly see what Lance has in his abilities. Dak has shown who he is now over and over.

One of the issues with culture is a point one of the guys made about Turpin and Sam Williams having a pre-planned “victory” party before playing the damn game. That’s on the players, but something like that would not happen at all or not without consequences if a coach like Jimmy was there. That’s what’s missing with the cowboys, a coach like that who can hold players accountable. The problem with that is Jerry’s ego won’t allow a coach like that to have that authority. That’s why a Jimmy and Jerry parted ways. Jerry is the best businessman and has had the biggest impact on the NFL as an owner than any other owner, but he just needs to be the owner and take a back seat to the coach.

Team needs bigger DT, bigger LB, move Parsons to middle LB, cut Gallop, bring in King Henry, replace LT, replace C, replace RT. Need physicality, team is too soft upfront on defense.

When was the last time we had a defense that could shut down the run game?

I know the problem= You need strong LB's and Big guys on the D-line and upgrade the O-line!!!!!!

The common denominator for the twenty eight years of playoff failures is Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones is the head coach and everyone he hires is an assistant. He makes all the big decisions, he sets the culture. Dak is actually good enough to go to a SB but he's going to have to have a better than average head coach and a Great defense to get there. No great head coach is going to want to deal with Jerry because they are going to want control that Jerry isn't willing to give up. The last great one they had is Parcells and he couldn't deal with Jerry. Jerry's ego is the problem because he wants to be in control. he fired a coach fresh off winning two straight SB's so he could have more control.

Dak is due for more money to get cold feet in big games after 8 years, could'nt waste my money like that.

Here’s a potentially cheap fix: have Dak visit a sports counselor. There’s something psychological going on about playoff games. Perhaps it’s heightened stress that he doesn’t handle well, some PTSD from prior sporting events, some degree of personal evolution being blocked by a past event. A counselor might help him cope or overcome this sticking point. A case in point where this approach worked: John Smoltz with the Atlanta Braves. John was with a winning team and was a terrific athlete but he struggled with a losing streak (2-11) and the assistance turned him around. There’s no shame in seeking help.

I was listening to your show and you asked what was the problem, they have no heart what so ever. No discipline and lack motivation. We spend more time worrying about what is being said than getting better at our flaws. The d- line allow themselves to be pushed around, backers always take the wrong holes and angles. The receivers except being knocked off there routes and the running backs make little to no shifts. The safeties can't cover and make horrible decisions. Coaching is old school and doesn't have the ability to make in game adjustments. Every year this is the same problem.

Set aside the playoffs. Some of these accomplishments need an asterisk when you factor in road wins and wins against teams above 500. This team has done a lot of bottom feeding. I think the difference between McCarthy and Garrett is Mike wins more games that he should win and Garrett’s teams didn’t which kept them out of playoffs more often

Just say it!! It’s the freaking leader! Coach MM is too huggy and does not have the killer instinct! John Wick attitude is what this team needs!

Cowboys players become stars before they have to win, that's the heart of the problem imo.

JJ has always had a problem letting players go and hanging on too late. When Dak was on franchise tag that's when this should have ended. U need a QB drafted in 1st round to win. Look at all the QBs left now. Every one of them were drafted in 1st and even picked 1st besides Purdy. So 7/8 QBs drafted in 1st

Wouldn’t be surprised if this team take a leap backwards, I feel like both this window is closing with new upcoming NFC teams getting better and catching up. Dallas was 12-5 3 seasons in a row, I think they take a step backwards I just don’t know how much, and how much they bounce back enough to get them further in the playoffs they can’t think to themselves that they can just do the same thing again next season and just magically put it together and win it all. Not with the psychological pressure this team has on themselves in EVERY game that matters to them.. there is a nasty trend with this team. These are my thoughts and observations, my opinion, maybe I’m wrong maybe I’m right but: 1. Teams they’ve faced over the last 7 years- if they have beat this cowboys team more than once in regular season, this team will consistently lose to that said team more often then not- regardless of its regular season game or a playoff game. 2. They get fat and eat up on and beat up on subpar teams and get overconfident against equal or better teams and get reality checked multiple times. Happened a lot the past 3 years especially. 3. Often times, their losses come because when they are playing well, a game comes up that they aren’t thinking about, and looking past an upcoming team to a team they may be more worried about..essentially, the cowboys are to worried about what others are doing instead of honing in and focusing on themselves and how to improve. 4. I’ve noticed this every time they lose a BIG game, every time Dak does this fist bumping thing in the huddle to his teammates to try and rally them, he performs terribly. For some odd reason. He did that same exact thing right before this packers game, and it was ugly from their 1st possession onward. 5. Dak has stage fright in games that matter and cracks under pressure. No matter if that pressure is imposed on him, or, he creates the pressure on himself with bad reads and turnovers. 6. This defense needs big dogs on the defensive line. Needs, heavy- big bodied run stoppers- with the ability to dictate what opposing offensive lines are doing. Needs heavier linebackers, and smarter DB’s. 7. This team unfortunately is missing an all pro running back to be that powerhouse- run controlling back. We missed having stability back there to balance that offense especially down near the goal line and red zone.

Either move on from Dak or keep getting beat in 1st round, need a bigger cow bell running back, and line backers with size to help stop the running game. Kearse sucks too.

Time for Jerry and Stephen to stop the weekly radio shows pumping up average players because they drafted them. Cowboys are a nice B team that's about it. It's been a country club in Dallas for a very long time.

The Cowboys business organization is designed to consistently produce relevant teams and hope for lightning striking to produce championships. The hope has been consistently dashed for 25+ years. The championship organizations use the inevitabe down years to recoup by drafting superior players. Dallas picks from the remainder.

I've always believed it's cultural. It doesn't matter what players or coaches they have ,post season results are always the same. The team never looks prepared for the playoff game. Blame it on Jerry's influence. He surrounds himself with buddy coaches and the players think he's grandpa Jerry. There's no accountability.The players think they are special and any loss is due to the officials being out to get them

They have an owner problem that can't hire a great coach. The only good one was when he hired Jimmy Johnson. He built a dynasty, Jones is 81 , time to sell

Dallas culture needs to adapt where discipline and accountability are stressed not only with the players but with the coaches first and foremost.

I call it the Parsons effect. Players are wrapped up in selling merch or doing interviews or in Parsons case a podcast. Seems to me that Parsons only seems to show up for his podcast and cries about being held all day. The problem with the Dallas Cowboys is the fact that it’s the Dallas Cowboys. All the distractions make for a soft team. All the lights, all the drama and all the attention that comes with playing for Dallas is too much of a distraction. The team isn’t hungry because they’re spoon fed and spoiled every day. This shows up on game day (see most penalized team stats). No consequences, you can play bad and still make the roster if Jerry Likes you. The Dallas Cowboys need to watch Rocky 3. Become Clubber Lang, not Rocky Balboa…… get physical, become mentally strong and go smash someone.

What is missing on this team is …. DISCIPLINE !!!!! Sam Williams would be benched or waived ! Your STUBBORN DC would NOT play Zone Defense for the 1st time in the playoffs! Your DC would have made an adjustment at halftime! McCarthy was to predictable and lacked motion in his offense! We also needed to get a bruiser RB to split the carries with Pollard ! I would LOVE Harbaugh ! Pay Coach Harbaugh and let him set the the standards for the team! He would not put up with the circus and bullshit that we have allowed, under the puppet’s we have had for HC’s ! But Jerry would NEED to let him pick his coaches and QB and just sit back and be a OWNER ! If Jerry really wants to see our beloved Cowboys get back to the Big Game , he will finally relax and give McClay the full GM responsibilities! We can only hope……

The organization has done this to themselves for the past 30 years or however long it is now. Jerry has been the constant that whole time. Jerry cares more about being an entertainment club instead of a football club. Its that simple. It doesnt matter who’s the qb or coach next year because Jerry will still be in the building dictating.

If we stay with Dak and continue to let Jerry lead us to destruction, I guarantee you we will see a panthers, falcons, and or cardinals Super Bowl before we see ourselves in the SB🙃

We have to play a LB at edge because he’s our best pass rusher (not Law or 2nd rd pick Williams)… yall are over rating the others on the team!!!

And before I forget, they have no accountability. No one is willing to say I didn't do this or that. After every loss the answer is always, I don't know what went wrong. Accountability is the key and by excepting accountability it gives you an edge in correcting the problems. And there is a lot of problems

Dallas has been soft since 96. Sensitive cowards. This team lacks drive, hunger, discipline, focus, killer instinct. It starts from the top to the bottom. This is an organizational issue. I'm emotionally detaching myself from this team until they get serious in the playoffs

This Cowboys team has a ton of roster gaps (DL, LB, OL, Rb, etc.) and has for several years. 9 Pro Bowlers is a lost leader because those resumes were built against an extremely weak schedule in 2023. The culture is one of 'fake it til you make it" -- it's grounded way too much in false bravado and it shows on every play when they over-celebrate mundane plays. They act like they're bullies on the block when the results say differently. And it's almost impossible to expect them to behave differently when the guy at the top is PT Barnum living off of laurels that were earned over r25 years ago. The prescription is a huge dose of humble pie. Talk less and let your play speak for itself. But that's not going to happen with Jones in charge.

The issue with their defense is that they’re not built interior-out. Their LBs are more hybrids the downhill, their DTs (other than Hankins) are more finesse when powerful [exception mazi with peanutbutter]. they need to build the inside stone hard. You look at Pittsburg. They have a strong run stopping dline who have rotational backups. Not to mention their LBs completely different from Pittsburgh. Hell look at SF, Baltimore, and Jets. They all have bonifide LBs with run stuffing interior *first dlines. They need to keep the secondary how it is with more traditional interior LBs and DL. We currently have too many tweeners

We never draft high enough to get a top qb we have to hope to luck out or trade up to get one possibly next year

Dak fans forget Dak was practice squad QB4 to QB1 by injury attrition. He never earned his spot. Made friends with Zeke and sold and rode him to this desperate fan base. Zeke gave up his best years and his agent saw the disfunction. A mirage of a rookie season and a sympathetic story 8 years later fans can’t tell their head from their a$$.

If Lance is not the answer then look at drafting a qb early round 1-2

All this started in 1994 when a coach who’d just won back to back Super Bowls was fired and replaced by a cardboard cutout. They’ve done it Jerruh’s Way ever since and the results are there for all to see. Any “solution” that includes this coaching staff, but more importantly, includes Jerruh as GM is a waste of time.

Jones, McCarthy, Quinn, Prescott, Pollard and Lamb will continue to produce same results. 10-12 wins, with zero production in post season. The fish rots from the head, Jones needs to get out of the locker room. His sons are no different.

What other team has it's staff meet with the owner every Monday? Has an owner in the locker room after every game and has press conferences outside the locker room after game? Has an owner on the radio every week? Jerry's priority is selling the Cowboys not winning Championships. That's why the players have all the appearances here , there and every where. I want the coach that in the interview tells him I'll sign the contract when you agree to not be the face of the team and I, the Coach, get to define what that means. It'll never happen so the fans are stuck with this great mediocrity and Jerry and Stephen continue to line their pockets.

There is no other franchise where you are made to feel like a star, treated like a star and paid like a star before you play your first game....its the culture.

What about John Elway? If I'm not mistaken it took him 14 years to win a Super Bowl and he is considered one of the all time greats. Also, it took Drew Brees 10 years to get there...🤷🏽‍♂️

From a skill set, we have an absolute beast in Trey Lance. I believe Lance can be better than #4, and maybe he has the clutch gene. Trade Dak, there will not be a considerable drop off in what the team does. Drafting a good LB, a bell cow RB, and a massive NT would make this Cowboys team competitive. Adding a QB whisperer to bring his talent up would make it okay. This team needs a QB with/ the clutch gene; sadly, our QB plays small in the playoffs and well to great teams even in the regular season.

Regardless if Dak Prescott and Cee Dee had a great game, Dallas was going to lose that game because the Defense couldn't stop the Packers offense. The Cowboys' defense getting stops and turnovers was the key to winning 12 regular season games. The games that defense didn't get any takeaways they lost. It's easy to point at the Pick 6 interception but the main problem was Green Bay only punted the ball late in the game when it was a blowout and the Packers had the ball for 2/3 of the game. Without diggs and L v e that defense was never the same.

Dak’s stats are empty. Never putting up big numbers against really good teams and never in the playoffs and it matter.

They did fake a 12 win season. 7 wins vs Giants, WSH, Jets, Panthers, Patriots. Win #8 & #9 versus non-playoff Chargers and Seattle. Win #10 was the season spilt vs PHI. Win #11 vs Lions in a blown call, let's be honest. Win #12 was a good one vs a playoff Rams team. Double digit losses to: Arizona, Buffalo, SF. Loss to PHI, loss to Miami. Then blown out for a 4th time vs GB. 4 blowouts this season. 9 pro-bowlers/all-pro's. Cool bro. You need 22 starters. I'd rather have zero pro-bowlers and 22 good players vs 9 ;great players' / pro-bowlers and 13 'just-another-guy'. We're frauds. This won't improve with the Dak, Parsons, CeeDee etc. Blow it up, 3 seasons of losing, rebuild an NFL roster.

We are the SECOND youngest team in the NFL! There is no tear down and rebuild. We just did it 3 years ago and have 9 pro bowl players AND have "drafted" the next QB stud for the future in Lance(no guarantee I know but neither is giving up the boat for trading up to a top 5 drafted QB next year). Tearing it down is no option. Def missing leadership esp on defense. Get some dawg LB's, another nasty Olineman, and WR. We don't need all the pieces just a few more dawgs. Coach? No idea except fire DQ today.

Dak is not in any position to demand Jerry keep McCarthy. He hasn't earned that right and has zero credibility, especially after that performance.

We don’t have elite schematics that use motion an marry the run/pass game together when it matters. We also don’t have an elite culture that holds players accountable, makes them fearful, addresses discipline and the correct defensive principles. You can’t have no advantage in either of these coaching departments and expect to win with a solid but not elite QB. If they run it back with the coaches that are Available out there I won’t be watching
