Amazing collection,, like all my dream Porsches’ in one room!!!! Thank you Petersen & Mr Blue for so selflessly sharing these fabulous works of mechanical art with all of us dreamers... made my day, had to watch it twice
No clue who this guy is, and it sounds like he's been heavy into the dealership scene for decades, but I will say this, he's so fucking genuine and gracious that it's incredibly difficult to not like him. I'm not saying I was trying to dislike him, he just doesn't at all fit the dealer/GM/salesperson types I've met over the years and it's nice to see. Wish you the best, man!
I saw him on an episode of Million Dollar Listing LA looking for a 1 bedroom house with a 25 car garage. Saw that he owned a dealership of used luxury cars and ran to youtube to find more interviews with him. Thanks Petersen for sharing this!
There are so many unicorns and I didn’t even know they even came in these sick colors!!! IMO as bad ass as Seinfeld’s collection surely is…I don’t see how it’s better than this because blue is my favorite color and these are so epic! The CGT, 959, and the 968 turbo S are bonkers!
@@fghjfghgjwow, THIRTEEN years on RU-vid and NO SUBSCRIBERS. Apparently I’m the only person that ever cared what you said. 😂😂😂😂😂 Awesome. I feel so special. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Me too! I’m a lover of all sports/super/hyper cars. That being said, I have a massive spot in my heart for all things Porsche. They are the perfect machine that I’m working on to own in the near future.
As impressive as these cars, is the respect this man has for these machines. He displays a thorough knowledge of each one's history, and the understanding that these will be cared for by someone else when the time comes.
Thank you for doing this. Gorgeous!!! Took me 65 years (most in the military) to finally get a 2019 991.2 4 gts, and I love it! Congrats & thx again!!!
This crazy you guys. Might be my favorite collection i've ever had the pleasure seeing thru' my screen. I'm German so Porsche is really close to my heart, absolutely astonishing. Thanks for sharing this absolute gorgeous collection Petersen Museum and Mr. Blue.
Todd is a great guy! I met him around 2001 when I was a detailer at the Porsche dealership. He let me drive his brand new Porsche 911 Turbo to his house. Always enjoyed seeing him come into the dealership! I remember watching the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles episode when he purchased this garage.
964 Turbo S and 993 Turbo S definitely the highlights of this collection. No competition. I think you also need 928 GTS there. That's very overlooked classic. Cheers! PS: I wasn't even aware of 968 Turbo S model. That was quite amazing surprise too.
I'm a Porsche superfan. This collection has cars I've never even heard of. Let alone seen/heard/experienced. Wow. That 1972 Porsche 916 blew my mind! Incredible collection, thank you so much for sharing.
Todd, We met a few years ago over dinner at The Amelia Island Concours just prior to the beginning of the pandemic. Your enthusiasm and “TRUE” Porsche Passion is so remarkable and authentic. Thanks for sharing your collection in such a personal way🙏🏻🏁
Wow -- this is easily my favorite Porsche collection I've ever seen. The cars themselves are just mind-blowing gorgeous... just one after the other of beautiful, elegant, classy Porsche unicorns.... freaking unreal. His genuine love and respect for the brand makes his collection so much more meaningful, as well.
honestly honestly honestly this is the best ever Porsche video by far! Very intricate and so informative without being boring or over the top! its just perfect.
Jesus, my toothbrush isn’t as clean as this building and the cars it contains. I have obsessive compulsive disorder and need to rethink my life now. Beautiful collection! Cheers!!
Mr. Blue, I love your cars and your vision !!! I was waiting for you to talk about my favorite Porsche ... the 9 2 8 .., truly one of the most beautiful (and under-appreciated) Porsches. I love the color of yours. I am so lucky to own a 1979 928 fixer ... Guards Red ... all original ... Scarface / Risky Business ... my childhood dream car !!!
Wow! Hell of a presentation and collection. Love the theme and knowing numbers of produced in that spec that year. Same “OCD” myself w that type of info. My father had a 1 of 6 or something 968 cab color combo in my college days. So many dream drives w 959, 968T, new 935 track car, etc. Always love the history on particular cars as well 👍👍
Another terrific video from The Petersen! A great presentation by a passionate and appreciative custodian. Thanks, and thanks to Porsche for saving the manual!
The like button was not big enough. Incredible collection. My heart was racing at the end. Thank you so much. It was therapeutic. I worked on older Porsches as an auto tech for almost 20 years. This was also sentimental because of the love for the brand that my father passed down to me as a child in the early 70's. He had a Euro shop in Hollywood on the corner of Santa Monica and Bronson. Being of German descent also enamores me to the brand. I refuse to wrench these days on anything that isn't German.
Great collection and it's displayed so beautifully. I love that the modern day cars are all so personalized, and that there is a theme among all of them.
Nice Todd!!! I really love that the 911R is the car that you chose to go for a drive in and that you shared your build sheet detail. Shows your passion for driving, not just collecting. Proud of you and thanks for sharing your time and relationship with the brand!! -Ahti Snow
I knew Pete’s flachbau’s! Yours is beautiful - great color. Fabulous collection - killer colors on a lot of my childhood favorites. Standouts: 356 - couldn’t tell if it was Bally/Bali Blue or Valley Blue, but its stunning. The white turbo carrera; beauty. 911R; chef’s kiss that one. 916; insane. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.
Wow. Just beautiful. Loved when he took some of them outside in the sunshine. Would love to see the Carrera GT and 959 together in the sunshine to compare their beauty.
@@ScottParisi for V10's both sound great. but nothing sounds like a ferrari V12. the 812 superfast is amazing. and if you want to include track cars, the FXX is the best sounding car ever, hands down, or up.
Mr. Peterson has an impressive collection of Cars. Back in he day in Souther California Mr. Peterson would bring one of his Collector Porsche’s and “do demo” runs. We would race, not wheel to wheel, but timed runs once a season the Ferries Owners Club would come and run with us in the Porches Owners Club, they had the nicest looking ladies but could not compete with us.
Great video. I love 911s. I hope to have one some day. The shades of blue you showed us really are beautiful. The Valley Blue and the Albert blue look so similar. Maritime blue is great too.
Even though I am Ferrari fan, I love all cars, and Porsches are one of my favorites for sure. This is one of the best collections I’ve seen here on RU-vid, but what really connected with me is: 1. The respect and love for the brand that Mr. Blue shows; it really made it more especial 2. They are almost all blue, which is my favorite color 3. They are Porsches, of course 4. The way he thanked his team and Porsche for believing in him and made him what he is - loads of respect for that, because it was truly an honest comment Dream collection. Very nice guy. A true petrolhead.
What an amazing collection ! I understand the preserving part of it all. I guess we can keep some of them in museums, but cars like these should be driven.
A truly wonderful collection of Porsche cars! I noticed the odometers seem to be rather low...knowing that these cars really do best when driven I hereby volunteer my services as the driver of your cars sir. I will drive them as intended and even give them a proper wipe down when I'm done. Let me know what you think about this, Best Regards, Scott
Absolutely amazing collection and video. Of course a collection like this requires some deep pockets but he drives them and is clearly in love with the brand and the card. Fantastic guy, clearly worked his a** of to get to where he is today and yet he is humble and mentions his team and employees. In case you are by any chance watching these comments: I would love to work for you!
This is a great collection. Thanks for letting us see these beautiful cars. A helpful hint for editors: when the subject is referring to something specific like a Finnish side mirror, cut to footage of the side mirror.
How wonderful to be able to collect the best of the best from Porsche! It obviously took you considerable time to search out these particular cars for their blues. I was bitten by the Porsche bug in about 1973, and have had only a few over those years, winding up today with only two, a 1964 356C in Ruby Red and my special ordered PTS Blue Turquoise 06 997S hard-top cabriolet over natural brown. Take a drive up to Santa Barbara and we can compare blues! The narrow body 89 Speedster was offered only in Europe compared to the wide bodies for America-helps to make them rare. We all have Helmut Bott to thank for creating the incredible 959. Unable to underwrite a 959, I wound up getting something with many 959 features, but about 20 years later, when many features became quite standard on the 911s. While several friends of mine own Carrera GTs, my heart belongs in the 1980s-may the 959 out survive them all!
My favorite Porsche was just completely ignored. I'm one of the few people who are a big fan of the 928. My favorite of the ones he showed is the 916. Thanks.
Blue just so happens to be my favorite color, as well. Some of my most loved cars, are old Hot Rods, blue with white interior. Even though the 356 with red guts is striking, would like to see a Porsche built, with that contrast. Thanks for sharing. As a past motorsports mechanic, on a winning Porsche ALMS race team and having travelled to LeMans and Weisach, can truly appreciate a few of these. Got to see the Carrera GT, when it was still a test mule at the factory. JT: Orlando, FLA
I went for a ride in a 914, test drove a 928, have only seen a yellow & silver CARERRA GT, 911 still favorite & still have my hot wheels & matchbox Porsche cars.
I’ve always loved the 959. When the 993 Turbo came out I thought that building a 959 inspired variant would have been awesome. Porsche should create a modern 959 interpretation based on the 992.
