Yeah, Wanda Sykes did the same thing before she came out. It's unfortunate, but understandable. And I Googled Todd Glass - he's 54 (so around 45 when this came out)
I wonder if anyone is annoyed or p-o-ed at Mr.Glass for being straight in his act. I always thought he was really funny, and a master of the stand-up scene--so the natural progression when he was super-popular was a tv show gig. I wish that were not now off the table, as it seems to be.

What was up with Piven? I don't think I'd like to come on stage with everyone thinking 'This guy's a comedians comedian, he's gonna rock my fucking world!' I feel like it's hard to come back from that intro. But, Todd killed it!

I'm not talking about actuality and real facts. A bit does not have to be factual. My point is , a girlfriend fits in much better for most of these scenarios then a male friend does. It doesn't matter whether he really has a girlfriend or not.
Sarah Silverman also told that taco joke. "Hey do my breath smell like tacos to you" -- "I don't know do you put shit in your taco?" Exact same joke. I hope it was a coincidence, I don't expect either of them to steal jokes. They're too funny for that. Come to think of it: the joke isn't that original really.
Well if your actually paying attention the bits where he says it's with his girlfriend, it's mostly always a thing a girl would only do. Like tell someone to sniff a guy because he smells, or ask a black guy to a watermelon festival .. a girl just fits in the story much better than a guy. Your over thinking.
Funny but come on! Feeling insulted by being compared to John Goodman? I think the person who said that was because of the gestures, the deep voice, the western looks. Fuck! what's his problem? That wasn't a bad comparation! I have been compared to Jackie Chan (I had the same haircut in a time, I'm not even chinese, I'm part italian descendant), to Tim Roth, to Jimmy Fallon, and to weird things, even to a bug and I thought it was hilarious!
