I always thought it was funny that Marty graduated college in 94 & was a med student in early 96 & less than a year later she was a full fledhed dr. Also she seems to be a trauma Dr but later was a psychiatrist. Is it easy to just switch medical fields.
He's not in love with Marty you are seeing his guilt, he feels protective of her because of what he did. He will always care for her, but NOT in love with her.
It's always great to see that I'm not alone in believing Todd's DID story..We've seen glimpses of Todd alters already. After the nightmare when Tea told Todd to go upstairs and sleep it was like seeing Tom, and Pete was definitely there when Todd put Tea out in the blizzard. I just believe that Todd was already aware of his alters. There are real life cases of DID where the aflicted one knows his alters.
Rebecca S I always felt his DID was real, yes he was able to hid it most of the time but sometimes you could see it. And the whole story of his father raping him I believe it was real and that is why he had to hid himself from others. He was a tormented soul. The reason I believe he was raped was because Sam witnessed most of Todd's problems and walked in on Todd trying to kill his step father.
@bjujubee - there's no room for hate, relationships are part of him and of revealing who he is and of his personae. In the end, he just is Todd. Regardless of who he is with, I hang on his every word and action - because Roger has created something that is unmatched in daytime. All three women he has been involved with have brought out various layers of who Todd is and helped to reveal various aspects of him. No one is really best with him, because of who he is and how tortured his soul is.
who do you think loved todd unconditionably? when RH does return, what do you think Todd will be like? how will starr react? im curious given the fact that you're practically an expert on Todd lol....
I think Todd forever has guilt & he did tell her in 95 " ur the only one in this town I respect " he explained this that he respected her for growing up from the drunken self destructive party girl who took him to court after the gang rape & he almost admired her for not letting him destroy her & picking up the pieces & putting her life together after such a horrific thing that he & his frat bros did to her. So I think it's more a look of that respect admiration & guilt. Todd also evolved & was able to take full responsibility for all his actions. I think once he accepted he was going to spend the rest of his life In prison ( he got 8 years w/ a parole option in 4. He commuted a bunch of crimes after the initial sentence. Escaping prison, trying to rape Marty again at the tabernacle of joy , stalking & trying to rape Nora kidnapping Rebecca evading arrest several times while on the run & even though suede ' s death was an accident they were charging him w/ manslaughter in the 2nd or 3rd degree. I recall bo telling him he was looking at decades more of prison. Kidnapping alone could get u 10 to 20. ) Todd did start following prison rules he gave up trying to escape as he learned being on the run from the cops probably the feds b/c he crossed state lines when he kidnapped Rebecca & also trying to rape Nora in New Jersey so charges probably in jersey as well as Pennsylvania
@bjujubee - again, the stuff we find out about him makes it worth it. I like that Christmas thing too, very telling about him, and alludes to the future as well. The DID story is probably one of my favorite Todd periods of all. I REALLY enjoy what he does with each of those alters. Of course, those of us who know and love Todd realize that he was not faking, at least not 100%. LOL. Gotta love the plane. Cannot wait to see your edits of these. About how far are we from Tea coming on?
@bjujubee - actually I have never seen the next part of this story, but.....I am sure I will thanks to you. This story I've never seen, the Tea stuff I have. I can't wait to see the rest of it and also, I can't wait to see RH again on OLTL.
@bjujubee - couldn't leave Todd whether Blair was there or not, so I can't leave you either!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. He's meant to be alone, and all these things in his relationships are part of why, aside from the torture at the hands of Peter.
Joe Doe I think Marty has been more than generous towards Todd.. she doesn't owe him anything, and yet she always goes out of her way to help.. if anyone needs to "shut up" it's Blair!
@bjujubee - ok I have trouble with the time between things since I never saw it, I was not sure how long this story goes on with Starr being sick. I think I've seen most of TnT, not everything probably....but you'll fix that. *wink* Also, on Marty does not want Andrew to counsel Todd in my rewatch again...lol. Time to do the "Clip of the Day" for today since I am up anyway. This is what two naps and mountain dew can do to a person!
@bjujubee - oh I've seen those, you know that. I've seen everything up to here at least 5 or 6 times....she eventually did love Todd....and of course I can watch it without her, I know what is coming, I've seen that too.....it's all amazing to me.
@bjujubee - yes saw the whole Tea thing, not that impressed with them though, with him YES, Roger makes the role get even more layered during this story. I did enjoy it, the way they related to each other, the revelations about his past, and especially, the DID story.....Roger's great in those stories and I am looking forward to YOUR edits, because I may get more tidbits I have missed.....one of my fave parts of TnT is when he goes into the river for her. Love that whole thing.
Marty had no right to come up and start a big argument with parents who are out of their minds worry. Besides which it's not her decision. I could see her complaining about the phone calls and then the easy answer is they set their own phone line up and pay for it
