I know how it is, David. Back about 12 years ago, Neil Young's Tonight's the Night did the same for me. When you just don't think you're gonna make it, and some album PULLS you through, kicking and screaming maybe, but through, nonetheless. Music is a miracle.
I saw Todd live at Glasgow Apollo in Scotland in 1974 and he was just as good then. Now I'm 66 y.o. but I still love this music. Those were the days.....

Seriously, I went to Knebworth in ‘76. Thought Led Zeppelin were mediocre, can’t remember any of the line up. Damn, I can now say I’ve seen Todd; but what’s the point when I have no memory. I feel most annoyed with myself 🤣
Oh me too me too I remember seeing him in Central Park and my friend had a press pass and we jumped the police line and ran down to try to find Mr Rundgren Genoa Bell we didn't get our scoop but he is lifelong and life strong and amazes me thank you Todd for the years of love and music that has always filled our hearts
Longer career than Elton John and Billy Joel. That doesn’t even count his long successful producing career. The man is an amazing the likes we won’t see again.
Absolutely the best guitarist (underrated) songwriter, producer, and overall musician piano drums lyrics(unequalled) Professional, not to mention ahead of his time with the interactive CD Going to see him for the 40th time In Clearwater in May!!
I saw Todd and Utopia March 18,1977 at the Chicago Uptown Theater for their "Ra Tour." It was a great performance that night. Great performance now. Old rockers never die.
Back in the 90s I was assigned to photograph Ringo Star and Todd was touring with his “All-Star Band” in one of its early incarnations. We were backstage trying to hustle up an interview with Ringo (with no luck.) Out of nowhere Todd, Nils Lofgren and Joe Walsh walk up and start chatting with us… I was like, “F##k Ringo! I’m talking to Todd Rundgren!” Didn’t get photos, autographs or any of that shit. Just relished the experience…
Great Rundgren song. It's a classic tune I've always loved. Kasims backing vocals are right there in the mix. I like how Kasim has stood by Todd for decades. Great voice.
Each song he's written and sung, ever and I agree, makes me melt and eventually tears are streaming down my face. Can't hold it together for a bit. But all to say and wonder how it reaches that core, my core every time. Not just this song but many others, too. Would love to see him in concert. And I'm 71!! Gotta do it quick. 5:47
