He's adorable!! I can't believe they weren't going to let him model. He is gorgeous and kids like him don't get opportunities like this so he is so lucky
Inside Edition really phrased this wrong. She wasn't saying that he should be accepted because he has Down Syndrome, she was saying that companies shouldn't exclude special needs children when looking for models. The only time companies would take his photo was if they specifically asked for a special needs child. Her goal was that special needs children shouldn't get a separate pile. They should be included with the rest of the kids. NOT that her son should be a model. To use comparison, this would be like a company back in the day not submitting children of colour because the company didn't request children of colour. Actually, now that I think about it, this still happens.
Josie Alyvia same my older brother who's 22 has Down syndrome and if they turned him down just because a of his syndrome I would cry cause just because they may get more I'll then us or have a extra chromosome doesn't mean there any different as my mum says "His extra chromosome makes him extra cute "
exactly!! I'm so glad you said that. no better way to have said it. I think also a lot of times people take things too literally and seriously so they get confused which ultimately leaves them but hurt.
I’m not a baby person but OMG is he cute! He’s way cuter than most babies I’ve ever seen, special needs or not! I love his expressive facial expressions, you can almost feel his emotions through them!
Saving/me They wasn't she only shared his story and because it became so popular that they where proably like "OMG IF WE USE THERE PHOTOS PEOPLE WILL NOTICE OUR BRAND!"
They should have at least looked at his pictures. If they see them and don't think it would represent their line the way that they wish, it's their choice and their money. But the kid is photogenic and has a unique face and I don't think he should be written off by default. But the mom should also chill out. It's not like the kid cares, so she's obviously in this for her own gain which bothers me the most
How’s do you know it’s pity model casting? The company saw his pictures and liked him that’s it. Judging by your profile picture, your young. Don’t be jealous. I don’t think you parents would be happy with how your acting online. Be careful, you never know who’ll tell them so be quiet.
I see not only a beautiful baby but an amazing joy behind this babies smile. Keep up the good work Mom. Oppertunities for work should be equal, and this little boy is equally as beautiful as the other model babies I've seen in all my days.
I mean, all children wear clothes.... He is obviously photogenic and is calm and collected in front of the camera! - What more could you ask for in a child model?
Why does a company specifically need to seek out a child with special disabilities or see the importance of representing them only for an ad about children with disabilities? Just see all children as children, irrespective of their differences and celebrate them as a child.
Can we please stop with the hateful comments? This child was accepted as a model because someone believed in him and he has a lot of potential. The video specifically said that he was rejected because they weren't "specifically looking for children with disabilities." Why should children with disabilities have separate categories? His photos weren't even being looked at by the agencies. There's a difference between turning someone down after a fair analysis and just rejecting them based on a close-minded opinion.
I know this photographer who specializes in people with special needs. His name is Rick Guidotti and he even has a company called Positive Exposure. When I first heard of this story mind went to this guy. I've been going to the conference for what I have and he's been there since I can remember.
Shayla Wels nah you just smell inside edition phrasing this wrong. The mother didn't complain because he had a fair shot and didn't get picked, she got frustrated because the company overlooked the child specifically because he is special needs.
Well for the company he was the cutest and most suitable baby for the advert. The other kids weren’t right. People with disabilities don’t have ‘ entitlement’.
People of saying she's a bad mom and stuff like that. They said they weren't looking for people with disabilities! That is rude! Saying they won't hire her kid because she has disabilities
you do realize that it is not illegal to refuse someone with disabilities if you give them special consideration which means if the company looked at his photos and decided the baby was not the ideal candidate then they do have legal grounds..
He truly is.. ^^ People like us should be the ones to motivate and atleast and provide encouragement to other people who needs to be cared in a more special manner.. :')
Do you have a disable child because if you don't shut the hell up, you have no idea about how much more work is involved with being a mother to a disabled child. You have to constantly fight to get any sort of rights for them because of people like you.
@@kyliebartz6958 Sorry should all the children and mothers in the world bow down for you? You have a child just like everybody else, we all have our own hardships but don't go around acting like you're the world's most hardworking mother.
I agree, but companies pick people who look good and sell their products, they shouldn't pick just because he has special needs an they shouldn't not, pick him because of it, it should come down to the looks.
For the people who don't understand: she wasn't mad that he didn't get into it she was mad about that they said that they weren't looking for children with "special needs" that's why
this is so sweet :) my 5 year old sister has down syndrome. she loves the camera too. she's going to be on a billboard for a place called morgans wonderland. it's for kids with special needs to play. i just hope all kids with special needs don't get criticized and can finally be equal.
