A Quarter peal of Yorkshire, on the newly rehung bells, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 4th ringer's first peal.
The ringers of 1, 2, 4 and 6 rang the same bells as they did in the peal 50 years ago at this very tower.

Prior to the rehang, the bells were extremely difficult to ring and were in desperate need of repair. In September 2013, the only known full peal of eight Robert Stainbank bells were removed from their belfry and were taken to Taylor's bell foundry in Loughborough, UK, to be sandblasted, and fitted with cannon retaining headstocks, and ball races.
Without the help of a local bequest from the late Geoffrey Cheetham, a local ringer, The Lancashire and Yorkshire associations, and other donations, this fantastic work would never have been accomplished.
Many thanks also to ringers of the locality, and from a lot further afield, who assisted the bell hangers in removing and rehanging the bells, and for improving the aesthetics of the interior of the tower.
Special thanks must also be given to Helen Rigby, of New Hey, St. Thomas, who oversaw, and managed the entirety of the project.
The bells are now safely back in their rightful place, and awaiting many more years of ringing to come.
