Marina, you were the first youtuber I followed in my TOEFL preparation. Just received my scores: R28 - L27 - S23 - W28 = 106. Thank you a lot for all your help and tips!!
You spoke eng your whole life or just learned it. Sorry it's just i always spoke eng so idk if its going to be easier for me or not 😅cause here people take it and they are kinda new to English
Thanks for your video's just watched the "how to learn English" video. As a TOEFL teacher, I can see you are a high achieving student. All the people who do well on TOEFL in my experience do it on their own. I'm starting to realize that a teacher doesn't really make much of a difference to the outcome. Those students who are gonna do well - do well. The students who are gonna do poorly - do poorly. Love the critical, self reflective thinking, and though process you put in these. Thanks again I can see why you did so well!!
Greetings, I am from Afghanistan. Please, assist me I would like to get a scholarship in one of the universities in U.S. through TOEFL. How and what shall I do? Thank you
I was looking for the TOEFL score required to get into the university which I want but it wasn't mentioned anywhere on Internet, I was really frustrated of searching so then I decided to score 120/120. Now I don't have to search the required score to get into that university or any. Easy life.. 😁
You scored 23 out of 30 English language level: B1-B2 (Intermediate) Estimate IELTS score: 4-6 Estimate TOEFL score: 32-59 I just passed it, omg, I'm so bad, need to improve a lot!
Thank you, again, and again ... I plan to apply for a Master in Computer Science (Fall 2021). The estimation for my TOEFL test is : English language level: C1 (Advanced) My goal is to get at least 117.
Just wanna make a point about motivation. Motivation is not the main thing you can relay on ( 7:05 ) but you're dedication. One day youll not have any motivation and you need to do some stuff like commit to work. This's something you cannot always relay on. It's like a military dedication (for instance); waking up everyday early, took n work out, ... You know, sink or swim You probably are ready for the test and youll have a shitty day while the test and get a bad grade, so if you need to make it better just do it
Hi Linguamarina! Thank you so much for such a great content. I am aiming for a 109 to apply to HBS. Also trying to get over 700 in the GMAT (got 680 Q48 V34). I am sure that your videos will help me get to my goal.
Hi Marina, thank you for sharing! I’m doing the IELTS to enter to a dental residency in the US I need to get at least 100 although I am aiming to get 110 at least. I’ve already done the ielts and got a 7.5 overall of 9. :) please keep sharing more tips and advice for the test, I would love to know more about the GRE as well.
I’m very proud of all the work that I’ve done so far I did can understand 98% of what you told us all so I’m thinking very seriously take the test because I want to have the certificate that I passed it very well with a high score I might get a job for that. But now I have understood this test is only for folks whose their English is very advanced.
Thanky for your video! I'm preparing for the TOEFL to get into a Universiy in the Netherlands! I need a Score of 100 and you're videos help me a lot with the preparation!! Lots of love to you!

Hi!! from Kenya♥️ Sitting for my TOEFL test in the next 7days to get to Canada...💫 Done the estimate Test scored 22/30.... I styl feel like I really need to read more to Ace the Test 💫with Christ n my effort.... I believe I can do this ✊💥
@Mohit Singh Brooww!!! it was sooow owkay!!! I did pass but first check the requirements of your institution you applying to coz like for me they needed 79+ so I workd for 80+ Got 82 nd was quite contented with that So you just have to believe in yourself Yes you’ll make mistakes here and there during the test but just make the best out of it and don’t panic! Coz definitely there some speaking sections you might run out of words or lack words to say but just do your level best and also try to concentrate coz there’s some movement of late comers and all but just do yo level best I wish you all the Best... Indeed also prayers, quite helpful!
I don’t know if anyone needs to hear this but I feel it's right to say, so that no one else has to go through what happened to me. I took the TOEFL test a few days ago and it was one of the worst experiences I had to undergo. My screen froze during the writing section and I couldn’t scroll down to read the remaining passage during the integrated part. I called for the proctor for help and she IGNORED me for the better part of 50 minutes until the end of the entire test. The spectacle didn’t end there, as the proctor TALKED OUT LOUD on full volume when I had to listen to what I had to speak on during the speaking section. She continued talking through the speakers for more than a minute, during all the listening (even if she lied to the institution saying that she talked just to ask to lower the camera, that requires 3 seconds). I was so nervous and terrified as the sheer horror of speaking on something I could NOT hear. I had to compose myself and I did my best to speak as this joke of an “test” came to an end. This is incompetence and a scam. I immediately filed a complaint and sent them an email to open an investigation. It’s evident that “investigation” didn’t happen as ETS chose to not do their job like their LIAR of a proctor and simply took her word for it. My scores will stand and I was told I will not be allowed to retake the test for free. They chose NOT to review my RECORDED test. Choosing TOEFL was definitely one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made in my life. They’re morally bankrupt and shamelessly corrupt. Don’t let them mess with your future. I’ve said my piece, make of that what you will. And add that to all the complaints of other type you can find on this page (for example not receiving the scores in time).
Hey Marina! Thanks so much for your videos! I will do the TOEFL in two months and I hope to be successful. I subscribe myself for your videos! Really thank you!

Hey Marina, I loved your videos on TOEFL preparation. I've scored 710(50,35), AWA-5 on the GMAT. Now looking forward to taking the TOEFL. I'm looking to go for MBA next year in the USA but I have only 27 months of work-ex. Will it be possible for you to guide me in college shortlisting? :)
UAL!! Good Job!! i scored just 20, cause my grammar skill is really REALLY bad. I've studying by myself and grammar is one of that things that i neglected. My test is in four months. Wish me luck!
Love your videos, honnest and efficient advices. But it's easier to listen if you scroll down the video and don't watch it haha (some will understand what I mean :))
Hi Marina, Love your videos especially they helped during the preparation time of Toefl as I had only 10 days to prepare. And yesterday only I have received my score and it says 106 which not that great but good enough to get into most of the universities. Thanks for your videos and advice through them they really helped me to cross 100 barrier. :)
I thought you were Brazilian when I watched your first video, as "língua" means "language" in Portuguese and "Marina" is a pretty common name here in Brazil hahaha
I need to pass TOEFL at least 94 with no sub-score lower than 22, and this is the standard of KU Leuven in Belgium which is my dream school. Thank you for sharing this video! I watch your video recently too help improving my listening.
Good day, You've helped me understand how some section in the toefl work but I feel I can do more if you could read my essays from the writing section and listen to my speaking section and help me grade them. Please, why I ask this favor is that I'll be taking the toefl this April and I'm trying to speed up my studying. So, I fee, you being like a guide would help me know my weakness in the speaking and writing sections as I do not have any tutor ton review my work. I'll be happy if you help me on this incredible journey to study in the U.S. Thanks, God bless you.

Hi beautiful!!!! Thanks for the video!!!! Very helpful! I'm also Russian. I'm preparing for TOEFL cuz I want to apply for an acting program in UCLA. I ordered books you recommended just now! Thank you so much)
Hello, thank you so much for making and sharing these videos. I would like to know if you have a video where you speak about how to get a scholarship in a foreign country. Thanks beforehand from Colombia (Latin America).
i m listening to your advices, and i think they are very usefull! and i hope they can really help me to performance a good exam ! thank you so much for doing this !
The test you suggested to get an estimate of how many points you would approximately score is a little - well - vague. I don't need to answer 30 (very basic) questions to know that I will probably score somewhat between 60 and 120 points. Can anyone suggest another test which could give me a better estimate of what level of english I am currently at? Also how much of an issue is inproper punctuation in the writing part of TOEFL? I never learned about the correct use of commas in my english classes.
I will start studying TOEFL, because I want to immigrate for the US or Canada also looking forward to scholarship that's why, by the way, thank you for your efforts, please wish me luck.
