Dear Juva. Last friday, I noticed that I had to take a TOEFL test as soon as possible for an application. I had only two days to prepare. I based my preparation completely on your clips, and thanks to you, I’ve scored 29 and 27 for Reading and Listening, respectively!Thank you very much!!
same! I watch her videos since yesterday, because my TOEFL is tomorrow. I would be lost without her, nobody else gives so much tips, structure an confidence. There are just a few things i am now still worried about (speaking part 3 and the first part of writing)
I really feel relaxed with your video. I have only 2 months for my exam, i feel a little bit nervous but with your videos and a little more effor than now i will do that ! Thanks Juva, best wishes you
Maybe the most thing that I love in your personality is being modest and humble with us ( cuz I see all your repletions comments ) Thank you Juva You really helped me to get my toefl score that I want ❤
Hello Juva! Thanks a lot fot the video. Everything seems easier when you explain it. I'm having my test this week and I'm practicing with your videos. Keep making content. You're always brilliant!
I was freaking out yesterday cause I did a practice reading I wasn't understanding a thing. Thank you so much!! This was really helpful! I have less than 3 weeks to prepare for the IBT test, so wish me luck, I will continue studying with you!
I never comment on RU-vid videos, but I can't ignore your great help; I had one day to prepare for the reading section and scored 25. Thank you so so much!
Now i am practicing with your videos, and are helping me a lot!! thanks for your time and your tips because reading is one of my weakest parts, i really appreciate it!!
Thanks a million. This was really helpful. But. The method is that. I first have to read the answers and than go to the passage Or quite the contrary, start with the passage and than go to the answers and select the perfect one.
I'm so glad it's helpful to you :). The best strategy is to read the question and then go to each answer choice and check whether it's correct or wrong by having a look at the passage. Hope this helps!
Hi Juva, this video is amazing, it is very useful especially for your explanation through each type of question (and how to solve them). You should create more of this material for people who are still struggling with this reading section. Thank you very much :)
Hi Juva, my toefl exam is this coming Monday, and I have been preparing for 5 months now. I have always watched your videos for all sections and they are very helpful. Reading is my weakest point but I feel good about it after watching this video. I hope I'll get my dream score which is 17 on both R & W, and 16 on both L & S.
Thank you so much to uploaded this content! its really helpful for me! a little suggestion for the future, can the reading display be enlarged? thank you, I cant wait to see your next content. Please make another reading practice like this again, thanks!
thank you very much for your videos and explanations. I wish that you could help us solve a more difficult example because the sentences of this text are small and simple but during the exam they show long, complex and very elaborated sentences that sometimes involve three different ideas, so you barely have time to analize and decide what the sentence really talks about.
Hello Dear juva, I'm preparing for the TOEFL test, I completed the reading task and wanted to take a reading test, I found your test video and did all the 12 questions however I had 3 of them wrong, but I just got happy with my result, I hope I get my desire scores!
Thank you a lot fot making these videos, I prepared for TOEFL IBT in just a week with them and learned some templates. Might be possible if you make a video of fancy vocabulary to use in essays or speaking? Just to show off a little next time haha. U r the best!!
Dear Juva, during the actual reading test, does the time countdown start when you start with the questions or from the very beginning when you start reading? In the second case, I would first read the question, and then read the passage, so that I can spot the answer quicker. Like to hear from you. Thanks
Hi 😀 The timer starts when you start reading. That's a great idea! Reading the question first and then looking for the information in the passage will definitely save you time.
Hi Juva... Thanks for your great instruction. I'm going to take the TOEFL Test this Sunday and I'm really nervous... I hope everything will be fine! Again, thanks so much, this video has helped me a lot. ❤
Hello Juva, I am planning to take the TOEFL Exam, just saw your Channel and without hesitation, I know the videos will be pretty useful to study! Really appreciate what your are doing! Greetings from Peru 🇵🇪
Hello, Juva! Thank you for a great video like this. I totally appreciate your labor and hope you'll continue to post more videos. In additionally, I have one question for you which is relevant to the test. Should we choose answers in order at the summary question? Or will our answer be admitted in any order it is? Thank you in advance!
Im a dentist that passed the american board exams, but TOEFL really was a hurdle especially reading. A day before my third try I watched your reading and listening videos and my score increased from 87 to 95. I cannot thank you enough Juva. If you ever see this comment,a million thanks to you❤️😎
Hello juva. You can make a video on how to organize a study schedule for the TOEFL preparation, I am doing well but I feel that I am a little lost in relation to a study routine and that would help a lot. Thank you so much
Hello Bruno, just answered to your other comment, but here again :) You're right, a study routine is very important if you want to get a high TOEFL score. I noted your wish :)
thank you so much for your effort. I wanna say that I think the answer for the 6th question is D not C. You see, the development of irrigation was the result of the thriving obsidian operation, not a factor that developed side by side with it, it actually came afterwards. And D makes more sense because they say that the thriving of this industry led to some violation to the rights of the immigrants because they were brought to Teotihuacan by force to work. So it had some bad effects, and here lies the conflict that answer D mentioned.
Hi Saba, you're so welcome! I assume you refer to question 8, not 6, right? The author talks about people being coerced to work in the city, that's correct. But have a look at the question: the question asks you why the author discusses the thriving obsidian operation. If you read the paragraph you see that the author put emphasis on the power and wealth of the city. There may certainly have been conflict due to people being coerced to work, but this is an interpretation, it's neither stated nor suggested in the text. Does this help?
I have a question: When we see a question like "The paragraph following the passage most probably discusses" A) blah B) blah blah C) na na D) blah na Ok. I can't understand which passage the paragraph is following or comes after. In other words, what the heck does "the paragraph following the passage' question mean?
I had been making a lot stupid mistakes in the reading section till now and I didn’t understand why, but with your explanations it becomes clear, thank you a lot for this video, I hope you will make more such videos🤍
Thank you Juva ! Your all videos are helping me a lot to understand TOEFL. On upcoming monday i am going to take TOEFL and surely will share scores with you. Thank you so much.
Hello! Could you do more videos on reading? how to tackle the different types of questions and to do it quickly? inference questions and the summary style question? Thank you for your help
Hi there Juva! First, thank you so much for your dedication on teach us about toefl. You are amazing teacher but I would like to ask you , if it is possible, to try to speak slower. Sorry to say that, but for me sometimes is a little dificult to follow your pace. Thank you in advance for all you can do to help me in this regard. Thanks a lot!
I recommend this: First, skim the passage so that you get a rough idea of what the passage is about and then go straight to the questions and look at the relevant parts of the passage in more detail.
Dear Juva, thanks for your good job in assisting us with these test courses. I have been practicing but realize i keep failing summary questions. Is there not a better technique to locate those ideas in the passage? At first i thought the points are chronological according to how they appear in the passage, but seems not. Given the time constraint, one cant read nor master the passage, worst is on the 33rd or 4th passages cuz I would already be out of time. Please we will appreciate if u could give us more hacks with these summary questions.
Hi, I'm so glad you like it 😀. Summary questions are tricky, but don't worry, you can do this! Have a look at each answer choice and ask yourself whether it's a major or minor point in the passage. If it's a major point, the answer is correct. I hope this helps!
Dear juva,I gave TOEFL today and I just scored 17 and 22 in reading and listening respectively..could you plz help me out..I also have one question if you skim the passage then how to write summary..thankyou 😊 Your videos are very helpful 😊
Congratulations! Your scores are great, you can be so proud of yourself 😀. If you want to improve your scores, check out my TOEFL Materials: juva.podia.com/toefl-materials You can find many TOEFL Reading Tests there and I show you how to find the correct answers. Regarding summary questions, go through each answer choice and then scan the passage to check whether it's in the passage and whether it's a major or minor point. I am so glad you like my videos!
Hi Juva, please give an idea about the timing of the reading test, do you think time would allow for the same pace and speed you are doing it on this video, or one has to be go through much faster?
Hi Amin, you have to be faster. In this video I explain a lot, that's why it takes more time. In TOEFL Reading you must speed up, but don't worry, you can easily do that if you practice before.
@@tshewangnamgay3753 I noted your wish :). If you like, have a look at my TOEFL Reading playlist. You can find a video there where I explain how to solve organization questions. Hope this helps :).
When taking the actual tests, will the reading be shown for every question or do the reading disappear after a certain time? So do you have to remember everything for answering the questions?
@@juva Thank you! So does that mean there will be a reading passage shown for every question or are there certain questions without any passages shown?
