Fun fact, its because of the leopardon from SPUIDAMAN that super sentai began megazords, that inturn continued the expansion of transforming robot toys and media, that lead to transformers. And the reason Spiderman(japan series) had a transforming robot? Cause Stan lee wanted it, Stan Lee is the person we have to thank for transformers and megazords, and gundam
I thought in the original production there was never suppose to be Leopardon. However someone from the Toei side of production thought that Spiderman himself wouldn't appeal to the Japanese kids so they added a giant robot
Mephisto: You have entered into my domain! The seat of my power, where even GODS TREMBLE and you bring a toy to combat me? I have met some pretty foolish spiders before but none quite like-- Takuya: SWORD VIGOR! *throws the sword at Mephisto which impales him in the chest* Mephisto: *blinks in confusion as he looks at it* Er...wha? *suddenly screams in pain as Sword Vigor vaporizes him in an instant*
I already have the Soul of Chogokin version of this guy but the fact that I can pose this one more makes me want it, also for the fact that I could have two and one would be on Marveller form while the other would be in robot form. I am too obsessed with this version, I even decided that if they were to ever make a Nendoroid of Toei Spider-Man and/or Leopardon, I am getting that as well.
Thank you so much for posting this video. This absolutely amazing and I really really love all the effects they did with that. It's like you said that little extra really goes a long way with stuff like this. Thanks again
I wonder why they changed the way the arms transform from the original one? Granted, the arms could be a bit "floppy," but I find it weird how they changed it to involve the shoulder box popping open...it's not show-accurate. Was it meant to just make the toy more "sturdy?" 🤔
Yeah, in the show, Spider-Man (real name Takuya Yamashiro) has the traditional spider powers of climbing walls, shooting webs, super strength, speed and agility, a limited healing factor as well as some super senses like super smell, X-Ray and Nightvision. He also has a car, which you saw on this figure that can shoot missiles, bullets and can fly so Takuya is pretty armed to the teeth. While he hasn't shown the same level of physical power that Peter Parker has, you could blame that on the low budget the show had so its not like they could show Takuya doing too much crazy stuff though he still manages to get into some weird fights.
yes but the show pronounces it lee-oh-pard-on. It's even in the opening theme - etymology doesn't really matter when it's a made-up word with a canonical pronunciation.
