I love the way you approach treating the elderly! I give my grandma manis and pedis (against her will lol) all the time, but it took convincing. "Who cares at my age" was a common thought I had to keep rebutting ❤️ The elderly deserve pampering too!!
I work with seniors, doing multiple pedicures weekly! Verbiage is very important, especially with advanced ages, memory care, etc. Retraining myself to say “Shed skin cells” instead of “Dead skin cells” was important. Making sure to ensure client comfort was important too. Muscles cramp up quickly. Neuropathy presents in different ways. Numbness and tingling are common, but nails and hot pokers or a sensation similar to Velcro separating can also be signs of neuropathy. Being aware of their facial expressions is important because our seniors are inherently stoic about telling us if things hurt 😉💕
