On June 28, 2024, at a press conference held in Mumbai, The Times of India (BCCL) unveiled the inaugural OTT edition of the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) in Mumbai, scheduled for later this month. The event began with the grand reveal of the TOIFA OTT trophy, symbolising excellence in Indian OTT content as well as technical prowess. TOIFA will be a one-of-a-kind awards with the largest board of jury members selecting the final winners led by the Producers Guild of India and the Advisory Council comprising many eminent personalities including Guneet Monga, Anand L Rai, Shoojit Sircar, Raju Hirani, Raveena Tandon, among others. The press conference was graced by Sivakumar Sundaram, CEO (Publishing) & Executive Director of Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd. (BCCL), alongside Siddharth Roy Kapur (Founder, Roy Kapur Films), and Shibasish Sarkar (President, Producers Guild of India). Speakers, including BCCL's CEO Sivakumar Sundaram and Producers Guild's President Shibasish Sarkar, emphasised the awards' role in celebrating top-tier talent in the OTT space in the most credible and fair manner. The TOIFA OTT Edition 2023, presented by KRasa and co-powered by Goldiee Masale & KPT Pipes, will take place in the last week of July 2024 in Mumbai.
