Heavenly Restrictions is basically bindings placed on a sorcerer's body when they are born. These bindings usually refer to limitations on the human body that the person receives improved capabilities in a different capacity in exchange. For example, a Heavenly Restriction can cause a sorcerer born with low cursed energy to be physically gifted. Vice versa can also occur, sorcerers with high cursed energy can be born with exceptionally weak bodies. This is to answer the question about the whole “how did young Gojo see Toji behind him”, it won’t be super in depth just easy enough to understand. think of gojos eyes as like cursed energy sensors. He can see cursed energy all around himself, not just where he’s actually looking, so imagine in a world full of energy there’s suddenly a void spot. Toji is that void. He basically sees him because he can’t see him.

Thank you for providing this easy to understand comment of the anomaly that is Toji 😂 Toji was so used to being "unseen" that this ONE encounter stuck with him and made him make all the decisions he did before head-on confronting Gojo in a fight. CRAZY tactician move(s) right there!

Heavenly pact/restrictions as far as I know are just things you are born with, no one puts it on them or makes a deal with something for them its just a dice roll if you are born with one or not. Also one difference with toji and maki is maki still has some cursed energy but toji as zero.
