It is your opinon and I respect it! In my own experience, the Luger is high quality made pistol, reliable with the right ammo...but too much expensive to manufacture and somewhat fragile with bad ammo. But I love the Luger too! It's awesome at the shooting range. But I think the TT was a better weapon of war regarding production and solidity.

But still, the best pistol of the second world in terms of quality balance was the Browning HP ball, well, or Walter P38. As for the TT, one of the advantages is its cheapness with relatively mass production and a good Mauser cartridge, as for the reliability and resource of the TT, this is not a strong point of this pistol, not in vain after the TT-33 was put into service in 1939. another competition was held for a military pistol for the middle command staff of the Red Army, where the Voevodin pistol with a two-row chess magazine for 18 officially won! cartridges, (technically it was similar to the Lahti-M35 or Mauser-S96), which was a more complex design than the TT, but at the same time more reliable and durable, but more expensive to manufacture, so in 1939. they did not dare to put into production in 5-6 years a new type of weapon, especially before the war. ​@@alekszanuzdaev8115 I will give my point of view, weapon by weapon, with some questions: Browning HP. Great weapon of war, i agree with you. Maybe, if I had to made a ranking, one of the best WWII pistol: but I usually don't do ranking, because, it has, IMHO, no sense: most weapons are built in a different context. Most of the time, the problem is not the weapon, but the use made of the weapon... VIS-35. Great weapon with IMHO, one drawback: the magazine isn't that well designed. All the copies I shot had magazine trouble. Why do you think it's more perfected than the TT-33? Unlocking method? Griping is better than TT-33, for sure. The disassembly operation is not very user friendly on the battleground. I don't want to do it in frozen temperature... Astra 400: Why do you think it's cheaper to manufacture? Because of the straight blowback operation? Maybe it is (I don't have comparative data) : but as the TT-33, it's all machined, and in the end, the weapon is heavier & bulkier...so more raw material, more machining... There are a lot of these pistols in France: we call them "Mange tout" (English "Eat all"), because some belief that you can shoot either 9x23 mm Largo, 9x19 mm Luger and even .380 ACP in it with no trouble...of course, it is not that simple. These weapons work quite good, but they are not believe to be model of reliability and never heard (or read) someone saying this here. And here, I take the context in account. In France, most (not to say all) of the gunsmith I know (both civilian & administrative) think so. Slides broke all the time, and it's very expensive to manufacture. About the benefit of the double action...well not a lot for a military weapon (and I say this as a big Makarov fan...). I remember reading several times that even during WWII, the German military prefer the P.08 because P.38 was less reliable with sand and frozen temperature, but I don't know if it's true. It's one of the few weapons I advise people not to shoot with: too many slides breakage. About the "Perfected Voevodin pistol” as it's called in the D.N. Bolotin's book. Well I never hold it in hand: but Bolotin wrote it's heavier and bulkier than the TT-33, not a very good point for a weapon that stay in its holster most of the time. He also wrote that WWII prevent the adoption of the pistol. And IMHO, for good reasons: handguns are definitively not a very useful tool on the battlefield. Most of the time, in a military context, it's used for police type mission. So changing the handgun in order to improved hitting probabilities & capacity is something that can be undertake...in peacetime, when you have a lot of resources to spent… Finally, going back about the TT-33: it's of course not what we would call today a "mass production weapon". But considering the early 1930s, the weapon is simple, with few parts. There are some weakness, but all in all, it does the trick. About reliability, well I shot a lot with it (both military & civilian ammo)...and as written in the article, I only broke one part (disconnector). Was it perfect? No, and I think, once again, that there is not such a weapon. Weapons are suitable in some situation. And during WWII, the TT-33 does the Job. As most of the other service pistols do. I hope you understand my message is peaceful: as I said in the first message, I respect your opinion, because I don’t consider I hold THE truth. I had my experience, I shared it, and hope it help people to make their own mind. A last question: do you like the video? Best regards from France.

Так вот, разбирать обжатую деталь не хочется: цель - представить "расширенный" демонтаж (выполнимый большим количеством людей), а не "полный" (который включал бы и демонтаж прицела) вырез, например). I am not sure that i understand, so 2 questions : 1. Can you manually cock the hammer? 2. Charging the weapon by recoiling, the silde, you can take back the slide all the way, but when you driven it forward, the hammer isn't not cocked and fall back in the "safety" position?

@@laipublicationsHammer only cocks part way back so the slide hangs up on hammer when you pull slide to the rear. i think i may have a bad sear. going to put the sear out of my M70A in it and see if thats it.

@@laipublicationsIt was the sear, tip broke on it hammer was locking up 3/4 way back. now have to spend 27.00 on a new one. LOL

Yes...it's maybe a little to dry...i want to show the two variations (1930 and 1933) of the trigger disassembly, but i didn't really introduce it in the video...except by the fact i put the date when needed...and that i put an "S" to Pistols in the title...Ok...it's light!🤣 Of course, it's explain in the article on our website!

Le système était déjà présent sur le TK-26 (article sur le site...je sais, je suis lourd!). Il me semble que ça sort d'un autre pistolet européen du début du siècle...mais de tête, je trouve plus.

@@farazhussain6536 Hum...i am not sure i can help so much! Remove the mag button (1:30 in the video), then hit, with a hammer a punch (made from brass if possible), strike the floor plate of the mag in order to extract it from the mag well.
