lol all the "lyrical" rap songs have crap beats though, ofcourse its not impossible to find one that has a good beat but most lyrical shit have boring ass beats, also different media is for different purposes, movies add sight/visuals so it makes sense to really pay attention and focus on the visual aspects of movies, music adds audio/hearing so it makes sense to really pay attention to the musical aspect, not the words, for this reason I believe the beat is more important than the lyrics, but most lyrical hip hop puts the lyrics above the beat, not just by a little bit but by a lot.
