honestly, both are good in their own ways The original has more charm, but the remake is really well animated. I like the remake a lot personally, though the original is still good
Yeah, seems like it manages to be pretty faithful to the original and found pretty cool ways to modernise the graphics. A common mistake i see with these remakes is that they tend to mess up the pacing by favoring detailed animations over snappy one, but this one managed to translate the movesets pretty accurately. The mammoth one is especially interesting as its probably the one that changed the most visually but they managed to find ways to recontextualised its weird stiff movements in a way that give a lot of personality. The only one i think was a miss was the first boss where they cover up the monkey in an additional layer of the machine which obfuscate that they are a weak point and kind of make the punchline less funny.
I temember killing bolarogog easily in the arcade game, you only need to keep the helmet without any damage when you arrive and just sit where he shows up and the damage of the helmet would deplete his life almost completely that only a couple of shotd were needed
Aw geez I've been playing the remake and I did not know you could destroy some of their attacks. Holy crap I've been stuck on this stupid Mogluvar forever.
Nah... TO HELL WITH ALL Of YOU I liked the remake just as much as the original ❤ My nostalgia can't clutter the fact the animations in this new one look amazing, music is ok to i guess 😍🤩🤩 Proud to the devs that... Unlike Joe n Mac 💩 remake... They RESPECTED the legacy of this one
Is this game as easy as it looks or is that just the player being really good? Because most of these look like they die fast and there’s maybe three attacks among them that seem really hard to deal with
the fact that they did rambacha and Zurzammoth dirty is kinda... guhgk HOWEVER. everything else was good Vookimeldo got a massive glowup. The pacing at the end was very much a miss however.
Tbh... I just love both 1989 bc nostalgia and ol 80s charm... Modern one bc ANIMATION Devs made it look almost exactly like I imagined those game will look if it had Saturday morning cartoons style
00:50 01:17 I love how he went from racist stereotype to a fucking ogre in steel platemail and a random miniskirt carrying a defeated monkey over his shoulder.
I wish there was a way to really honor games like Toki without replacing them with inferior versions that look like cheap cell phone games. Toki stands on it's own, and gets better and better with age.
all these remakes share the same problem, not knowing what people like about them. they try to modernize and "fix" things that arent broken, and end up getting rid of all the charm these games had.
