Im a sentai purist btw, i love both dekaranger and spd.If you want a more episodic -comedy & detective show, go for deka, but if you are looking for a show that revolves around one big plot then go for spd.(But honestly i prefer dekaranger)

Too many ppl here think that Power Rangers S.P.D. is the original.Dekaranger is the original show which aired in 2004,Spd however aired in 2005To people who havent watched sentai yet, its a really fun series and i recommend you guys watch it.P.S. Trust me i grew up watching spd, and i still adjusted to the beauty that is dekaranger.

One thing I like about Dekaranger is they actually used an idea that was only in power rangers for the Dekaranger vs Magiranger movie. When Ban used the Battleizer from SPD.

Chikara Pro brought me back to this song and made me fall in love with this song again :) Interesting Fact: Skayde used this as a theme at Anniverasrio Orange (21/5/05) and also at Planet Of The Grapes (19/6/05) on both occasions he teamed with Kanjyouru Matsuyama.

As far as I know, yeah, there were DVDs put out. Not sure if they're still in-print or if you'll have to buy used, but I do know you'll have to understand Japanese.

Me when I first saw it in 2016 hum this is good but I love Shinkenger more. Now In 2021 I have watched this show five-time and I'm thinking of re-watching it's my number one sentai ever and Shinkanger is number 2 on my list.

Super Samurai wasn't original. They still do follow Shinkenger's story, with a little twist added in. The only original thing about Super Samurai are their Mega Mode and Shogun dunno what. You are wrong about Sentai being more funny. Sentai was more serious and Power Rangers is geared towards American kids. The only original one was RPM.

You probably already know this because this comment was 7 years ago, but just in case. Dekaranger came before SPD just like super sentai in general came before power ranger. But Power Rangers isn't a copy, it's more of an adaptation (except for samurai, it is just shinkenger but in English)

yes to an extent, Power Rangers is adapted from Super Sentai to better suit the western audience and watered down to a certain degree to make the show kid friendly.
