Kisaki's already gone and so was Baji and Emma and Izana. Mikey's lost everything the longer Toman remained, even blames himself. It was for the best. He desolved the gang to protect them. He couldn't bear the burden of being leader anymore nor could he entertain the idea of passing the torch after realizing Kisaki's true intentions.
