I was in 12th grade in Atlanta when Hurricane Katrina happened and we had a lot of people from New Orleans come to Atlanta and to our schools. I always had compassion for them. They came with a lot of pain and anger and there were a lot of fights and disruption but I always understood where it came from. They lost EVERYTHING and I couldn’t even imagine how they felt.

I watched tokyo on vine then followed her on instagram.... It was new years eve i was looking around the city to get my hair done., A girl name tye told me to come to a shop on lake forest... I walked in and saw tokyo and i was about to go crazy but i calmed down... Man just listening to her and hearing her tell her stories melted my heart... Y'all have no idea how sweet this woman is... All i kept saying is i brought the new year in with tokyo 2018... SHE NEVER KNEW SHE WAS MY FAVORITE PERSON

Tokyo Vanity was made for fame! I remember working at Lenox Mall; it was summertime and she had bright green hair at the time. People were shocked, greeting her, and requesting pictures with her-and she was so humble and sweet about it! She’s one of the few celebrities that understand what the fame comes with and accepts it. She maintains the perfect capacity of being herself and maintaining her safety. Her energy is unmatched; she’s beautiful, bold, unique, and genuine.

I really liked her from the first time I saw her on LOVE&HIP HOP. She was really real. And I was so happy that she was a Virgin at her age, which reminded me of myself. She's a beautiful young woman inside and out. My mom was a full figured woman with a pretty face and she would always tell me to tell people, you can always lose weight, but you can't lose UGLY lol. Unfortunately I lost my mom in 2009 due to alot of different sickness, but I miss her so much, she didn't play neither, like myself. So much love to you Tokyo ❤❤❤❤

I’m up at 5am watching this.. this documentary had me smiling, crying (Katrina took away so much, it’s crazy how we had to rebuild like we did from that) laughing and feeling so proud.. Tokyo keep flying high girl!

I've respected this young Woman for a long time. Now after watching this video, my like meter has gone very high. Tokyo is truly a real person through & through. I was on vacation in New Orleans and happened to go get food at the Cajuns on Claiborn while they were shooting . I was so excited to see Tokyo but I was too scared to speak because I didn't want to give her any reason to punch me down. 😭😂😂😂😂 I did sneak a pic though.🤩 Watching this documentary definitely made me understand and respect her even more.

I’ve learned so much more about you from this.. I remember when you performed at Therrell high school.. the kids were super excited.. I would luv to meet you in person. Being from Atlanta and you carry yourself with so much grace. I understand about you battling since you loss your Gma .. I cried when I saw you going through that because I went through it also. SweetestGapeach1127 dang when I went to D.M. Therrell (03-06) we didn’t have any performing artists come to the school. The school was too bad then 😭. You could literally get jumped trying to show a talent😭. We did however have the one group (do your dance on that hoe) but they went to school there and we didn’t take them seriously 😐.

Your story truly hit home I left Louisiana when I was just 10 move to west palm beach FL rite about the time I was turning 11 having to leave my mom to live with my aunt. Moving to unfamiliar territory and like you said being raised in a confident home I was put outta school for always fighting.
