/ frenchedward06 www.edwardfrenc... Part one of "Told After Supper" by Jerome K. Jerome. Essential Christmas Eve listening . Satirical ghost stories narrated by Emmy winning, Oscar nominated FX artist Ed French.
dear, dear edward - you have the greatest sense of humor - there's the wolf vid that ends "Hey, there Little Red Ridinghood". and now a Jewish song with Klezmer music after a christmas vid - i can't stand it!!!! ROTFL - alexa
Alexa-I'm pleased to hear that the music tags were noticed by someone beside the copyright owners. Little Red Riding Hood is a great novelty song that capped off the off-the-rails story nicely. I love the Klezmonaut's "Oy to the World" album. Wish I could find more by them. Considering Jerome's "Tales" are parodies of British Ghost story traditions, the satirical Klezmer music went right along with it. Those guys are incredible musicians. E.E.F.
Very amusing stories, made even more fun by the excellent Mr. Edwards, one of my very favorite narrators😁👍 Mr. Edwards, your rich voice (so very Vincent Price-esque) and boundless talent are truly top-notch!!👏👏👏
Totally agree!!! Although I would prefer him to Vincent Price any day. I always thought Vincent price was a little too campy and nasal. My favorite amusing narration of Mr. French is his rendition of The Wailing Well by M.R. James. If you haven't heard that one, I would highly recommend it.
Just wonderful. It is a tradition in Ireland to tell ghost stories on Christmas eve. Or anytime. Now we listen to them on RU-vid. Are you British? My husband and I are debating this. Settle this for us, so we can have a peaceful Christmas. C from the little haunted cottage in Ireland 🍀🍀🍀🎄🎄🎄
Your debate has made my Christmas merry, indeed. It's wonderful to hear that my nationality is even a bit debatable. I hate to end this Christmas mystery, but in order to preserve domestic tranquility I must confess that I'm a Born in Boston Yankee. Peace be yours. Cheers. EEF
Thank you, Mr. French. My husband says you still have a nice voice. He was very sure you were British. I love your reading of a christmas Carol. We are so enjoying your works. A very Merry Christmas from Ireland 🍀🍀🍀🎄🎄🎄
Wonderful reading!I checked imdb thinking you must have 100's of film roles. You deliver such a performance in every story. Your acting is brilliant you really bring them to life....p.s " There is too much Christmas Eve " ;-)
Thanks to Jerome K. Jerome who seems to have been the inspiration for the latter Brit comedians like Monty Python. ….No, not much in the way of IMDB listed film roles for me. I was on the radio Many, MANY moons ago and worked in theatre for about 10 years until people started hiring me to do Special Makeup FX where I actually began to get some traction in the paycheck part of life. THANKS for the good word and Cheers in the new year! EEF
